Question about webmin backup

Forums:

Hello,

First wanted to say hello to everybody here, this is my first post.

I recently moved one of my VPS's from Plesk to Webmin/virtualmin and I am trying to get properly acquainted with this product. Everything is running quite smoothly as of now (8 websites up and running, SSL in place, a few security features ...). I already did setup a Virtualmin backup for one of my virtualhosts, using SSH to another host in another city, everything ok as well, every night, just keeping the last 10 backups. OK.

/usr/bin/mysqlshow: Incorrect database name 'mysql.old'

Forums:

When I click on the MySQL Server in Webmin I am getting:

/usr/bin/mysqlshow: Incorrect database name 'mysql.old'

I tried deleting this database however I get...

ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''mysql.old'' at line 1

What is going on?

Installing webmin and disabling apache

Forums:

Hello

I am interested in installing webmin on a VPS server to help control certain things on that server. For what I am looking to do with webmin to work I would need to disable the apache controls and management section of webmin. I would like to know please how do I disable the apache management of webmin and can these be disabled on install?

Thanks for your advice in advance. Housemartin

Failed to start BIND 9.9 - Webmin

Forums:

I can't start BIND 9.9.0 through the Webmin 1.585.

However, when running the following command it starts correctly:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/named start

I'm running the CentOS 6.2

# ps auxw | grep named
named 3715 0.0 3.0 282124 15804 ? Ssl 00:00 0:00 /usr/sbin/named-sdb -u named
root 4559 0.0 0.1 103232 856 pts/1 S+ 00:43 0:00 grep named

# whereis named
named: /usr/sbin/named /etc/named /etc/named.conf

What am I missing?
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks
