Webmin

Hi,

I would like to link an existing LDAP server to our Virtualmin/Webmin installation. I already setup the LDAP client et LDAP server from the webmin modules and i'm able to browse and search our LDAP directory tree with success. Also, in the "Services Using LDAP" config page, I've setup "Unix users, Unix shadow passwords and Unix groups" to use LDAP as it's data source.

Also, in the PAM authentification, I've setup a PAM module for each step for my webmin service.

I have posted my question on StackOverflow, but it did not get any reply. hopefully we have more expirts here can give me some advice.

I have this error message when trying to validate ma LDAP client config file.

The connection seems ok,

Finding LDAP base for users .. .. found base dc=*********,dc=**.

Connecting to LDAP server .. .. connected to ldap.**********

Searching for users .. .. search failed : Sizelimit exceeded

Any ideas.

I've try to add the Sizelimit property to my config file but didn't worked

I'm new to webmin/virtualmin. I am logged into the backend, in webmin -> others ->perl module

I am trying to install MultiThread, but when webmin tries to run make, test, and install, it just shows blank without any progress. I have tried installing other modules and they installed fine. But with MultiThread the won't go anyfurther.

Any suggestions?

Within the Webmin Linux Firewall module I can see that there is an option to set Source address or network Equals, can anyone advise if this can and if so how specify multiple IP addresses (not a range)?

on my Virtualmin/Webmin installtion i set up a external mysql server. When i now create a new Virtal Server Virtualmin creates a new user on the mysql server this works fine but can i change the seting that the user is createt with ip in the host field not the domain name

so instead of

CREATE USER 'test123'@'test.tld'

this

CREATE USER 'test123'@'1.2.3.4'

test.tld is the Webserver with the Virtualmin instalation.

Hi,

I'm trying to run my own name server instead of using a third party... Now, here's what I did so far:

Step 1) I've registered 2 name servers at my registar (ns1.domain.com.ar) and (ns2.domain.com.ar) using 2 IPs my VPS provider gave me. Step 2) I will use one of my existing virtual servers to be name servers, so under my domain.com.ar master zone, I created 2 NS entries: ns1.domain.com.ar and ns2.domain.com.ar

Am I doing ok so far? what would be next?

We're moving from IIS to Apache. I'm trying to get it so that it's case insensitive. We were a little sloppy, so it's going to take a lot of time to go through and fix tons of coding in pages. I haven't been able to get this working. Anyone know how?
