Webmin

Hi,

I changed the language of a user in webmin and it changes but... the menu remains in english! what's the trick here?

I would appreciate if you can tell me how to change the language in the menu as well.

I need some help troubleshooting my CentOS server. I installed it originally as 6.2 fresh install and run the virtualmin script. Everything installed properly so I thought. Now I realised 3 system services do not run on reboot, such as webmin, usermin and openfire. If I log on terminal and run them as "service webmin start" the services run fine. Could someone please help me sorting this out. I would like them to start automatically on reboot. Thank you in advance.

this folder has grown to silly size, what did I turn off thats supposed to keep it reasonable? Anyone know?

right now "# du /var/webmin/diffs" returns 4.4Gb, and files from the beginning of time on this machine.

when I use standard webmin scheduling option for time sync, which cron does the job get saved to? I think it is not running (more than 2 minutes offset after a couple weeks, though it is supposed to run weekly) and I cant find it in the "scheduled tasks" module.

I'm using CentOS 6.2 with kvm-clock and my time zone is Europe/London.

I have set webmin >> hardware >> system time >> time server sync (system time not hardware time). And that works fine. However if I shutdown and re-start the server I have to wait for the next scheduled sync to get back to London time.

Is there an easy way to do a sync on boot?

Each Apache process is using about 70MB of private/rss memory, so I would like to lean them up a bit. The server runs Magento and Wordpress only. PHP is run as fcgid.

Which modules would you consider safe to disable?

Virtualmin/Webmin (Postix) won't deliver outgoing messages to my Google Apps email address and a few other private email servers. However, it does deliver to my GMail as well as a private email account managed by a local ISP called Integra. Here is what /var/log/mail.log says:

I am trying to setup the webmin cluster user and groups sync.

Should the synchronisation be run from the master or the slave server?

I have tried it both ways rounds but keep getting "Users and groups are in sync."

The primary server has hundreds of users within the range I am selecting (uid 1000-2000) while the slave server has no users beyond the system/software defaults.

The servers are setup at both ends using webmin login, ssl and fast rpc calls. I can view the lists of users on the other server from both ends, but just not synchronise.

Completely new to Postfix and I have inherited a problem due to a staff member leaving. We use Virtualmin and Webmin and due to a staff member leaving (under difficult circumstances) our hosting provider had to reset the root password (I'm not sure if this is relevent but please bear with me..). Everything was working ok until the password was changed.

I'm not a new user to the forums in general, and if you check the virtualmin forum you can frequently find me hanging out on that forum, sometimes having common questions, and sometimes not so much.
What I'm wondering is this.
First, I do use Virtualmin, but I'm refering specificly to the Webmin software here in this case. :)
Secondly, I've never made backups using webmin's interface, so am unsure of just to what extent I should rely upon Webmin to backup anything in particular, considering that no software is 100 percent free of human errors, and so forth. :)
