mysqlcheck cron - solved

Forums:

I had: mysqlcheck -u root -p password --auto-repair --check --optimize --all-databases set to run daily.

mysqlcheck -Af -u root -p password | grep -v OK | mail -s 'MySQL Check' me@mydomain.tld set to run a few minutes later.

The email I get says: "You should give only options, no arguments at all, with option --all-databases. Please see mysqlcheck --help for more information."

A: The solution was -ppassword (no space)

Updating Webmin from 1.56 to 1.57 just hangs during apt

Forums:

Hi everyone

I know that there are issues with setting Webmin to start at bootup after upgrading to 1.57 in ubuntu 10.04, but I'm happy to apply the relevant 'fix' to get this to work for me. However, when I installed I ran into some other problems that I thought I'd outline for any other Ubuntu Lucid installations wanting to upgrade to Webmin 1.570.

Setting the default virtual server for reverse dns AND virtualmin port 10000 access

Forums:

Ok, I have 3 virtual servers on the same IP (domain1.com, domain2.com, and domain3.com). They all work fine. I access Virtualmin/Webmin via https://11.11.11.11:10000 and all is great. I then decided two days ago to set my reverse dns through my VPS manager (not virtualmin). I pointed it at domain1.com. I have confirmed with my VPS host (Linode) that the reverse dns is in fact resolving to domain1.com. However, now https://11.11.11.11:10000 no longer works.

I have logged in under file manager it shows everything as should be.

If I select a file to edit say my index file and it has images on that page I can edit in text mode with out any issues. But if I switch to html mode it shows where all the images should be but they are all missing !!!

and if I save the way it looks in html mode then the site is saved with out images.

how do I fix this??

also I need to be able to upload multiple files as in many including folders with files.

Cannot install Perl module SOAP::Lite

Forums:

When I try to install SOAP::Lite at Webmin >> Others >> Perl modules, I get this:

Downloading http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/M/MK/MKUTTER/SOAP-Lite-0.714.tar.gz (230.67 kB) ..... Received 230.67 kB (100 %) .. download complete.

But then it just stops. I'm left with a hanging process "/usr/libexec/webmin/cpan/download.cgi" that I have to manually kill.

I've tried this on two servers. Any idea what's wrong?
