Webmin

Does anybody know whats happened to the www.webmin.com site and www.usermin.com site?

They both appear to be permanently displaying the follow error message and have been for a few days now:

This project has been temporarily blocked for exceeding its bandwidth threshold

I've tried a bunch of trial and error and read a lot of posts on this and still can't get this to work by connecting from my computer or another web server.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? Is there any way I can see if port 3306 is even accepting connections from some command line command?

I've mistakenly changed MYSQL root user name from "root" to "xyz" using COMMAND :

update mysql.user set user='xyz' where user='root'; flush privileges;

But after exiting from MySql when I tried to reopen command prompt of MySql I could not enter using the previous password and whenevr I was trying to use mysql database it was showing : Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'mysql'

I have also tried with changing root password and finally reinstalled the mysql but same thing is happening till now.

I logged into Webmin yesterday to be greeted by a message that said there was an update for a few modules, including proftpd. I applied the updates and since then proftpd refuses to start.

I tried looking in the logs for errors, but /var/log/proftpd is empty.

I also tried removing proftpd and reinstalling, but the same thing happens. Running command service proftpd start returns Starting proftpd: [ OK ], but the server isn't running.

I use Webmin for Cron jobs and the GUI provided, but after about 100 scheduled cron jobs, the GUI changes to a search box.

Does anyone know of a GUI to emulate the original because the search box makes managing many crons, very difficult and time consuming.

I'm somewhat of a newbie on this so I may not provide all the necessary info right off the bat but I will try I am running ubuntu 10.04.04 with the current virtualmin When checking my Webmin Actions Log, I get this Error - Perl execution failed

Can you not use the if else statements for sms messages? When saving the e-mail template I don't receive any errors, but upon checking the e-mail template again I find that the sms message only has the first line of my if else statement. (as listed below)

I've installed the Roundcube script for my domain, but whenever I log in I get the following error:

Server Error: STATUS: Internal error occurred. Refer to server log for more information. [2012-05-12 23:31:22]

I would like to know please if I disables webmin /etc/webmin/stop would that also stop the CSF firewall and all the setting in that firewall?

Do I need webmin running for the CSF firewall settings to be active/running and protecting my server? Or is it safe to disable webmin when I am not using it and only enable webmin when I need to configure the CSF firewall.

I am using webmin along with Kloxo as a GUI for the CSF firewall to protect my server.

Within Webmin/Virtualmin I am getting the message with Virtualmin Package Updates that a a new version of Perl -( 5.8.8-38.el5 ) is available however when I try and install it, it fails please see the attached?
