Webmin

HI:

Hi when I run this command from ssh via root it doesn't work. How do I get it to work without using the password? On my other servers it's possible to run this command and it just works.

[root@- www]# mysqldump db > file.sql mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) when trying to connect

BTW, i'm running centos 6.2 64bit in root via command prompt ssh in latest vmin/wmin

Dear friends,

Webmin on my server acts weirdly. There is only Servers menu on Webmin tab and Virtualmin Virtual Servers (GPL) under it. There is no other menu or submenu in Webmin tab. It happened after I upgraded Virtualmin to 3.89 version.

Do you know any way to re-install virtualmin without keeping the server down and formatting, installing virtualmin and then installing every site one by one?

Hello fellow users..

I need some help as I'm getting used to using webmin/virtualmin's added functionality, but I'm running into issues while trying to backup my web directories and config file and getting some errors. I tried CHMOD the folder where trying to backing up to and no luck. plz help as I'm trying to setup a successful backup.

I have just upgraded my Webmin installation to 1.570. However, there seems to be issues with my Apache version 2.2.19 now. Webmin doesn't seem to think Apache is running and is giving me the "Start Apache" link now. Apache is definitely running though.

When I try to "Start Apache", I get these errors: Failed to start apache :

we have 2 servers running the same ver Webmin and Virtualmin, however the configuration of those servers differs a bit, one of the servers are running different web sites from the other and one of the servers acts as primary DNS server (Master zones) and another acts as a secondary DNS server running (Slave Zones) etc..

So my question is, what will happen if we for example on the primary server (Webmin) add this secondary server ? what will happen to the configurations on those 2 servers, are they going to be synchronized or ?

Im new to Virtualmin. I've gone through the installation process and created a domain. I can view html pages as well as php pages. but the moment i upload joomla installation packages and go to the install page. i simply get a blank page with no errors. just a blank page everytime. The joomla install package does work on other servers (tested).

I would like to know how to upgrade php on my server... I'm looking for this answer for several hours now... I thought virtualmin was able to upgrade all the packages alone... Too bad...

So, what are the steps for doing that?
