Webmin

Creating user with Webmin makes user not as made with sudo adduser- cant tab autocomplete or left right up down previous commands or make any commands. Not working CD, LS, history. I needed to delete user from webmin and folder then in cli to make sudo adduser and it was only then working user with all commands.

csf is installed as a webmin module. My system is Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS.

I get messages from csf every 10 miutes " lfd on ns3010318.ip-94-23-251.eu: SYSLOG Check Failed" Body of the message Time: Sat Oct 3 17:36:16 2015 +0200 Error: Failed to detect code [N1zuLmcdLJ75H9DU] in SYSLOG_LOG [/var/log/messages] SYSLOG may not be running correctly on ns3010318.ip-94-23-251.eu

I never did this with Wmin/Vmin so i would like to ask if is possible to make full backup of both and then move to another server. Important part is i made several changes manually with postfix, bind (using dnssec), apache, mariadb... so i would like to know if i do full backup from Wmin will pickup all changes. Last but not least, is there SSH commands what could be used to do this job?

I need to know all this info because if there is smallest chance that Wmin cant pickup all the changes then i will need to do all manually rather than losing several months of testing.

Since a shockwave attack the other year I have lost my visual CRON job manager tool in WebMin.

When I click on the menu option "System > Scheduled Cron Jobs" I just get the following message

"The command crontab for managing user Cron configurations was not found. Maybe Cron is not installed on this system?"

To keep my server secure I make use of Webmin > Networking > Linux Firewall (IP tables). Also, I make use of Fail2Ban which automatically adds temporary bans to the firewall.

My current webmin IP tables systemen configuration settings are:

IP tables save file to edit: 'Use operating system or webmin default' Directly edit firewall rules inestad of save file? 'Yes'

I found this file on http://www.awstats.org/. I know Webmin comes with its own module for AWstats but I installed it. This module creates in Webmin -> System the following link: AWStats Logfile Analyzer.

In module configuration you have to do some changes then [Save]:

1) Absolute filesystem path to AWStats update statistics command: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/awstats.pl

2) Sample AWStats configuration file /etc/awstats/awstats.conf.local (I guess this should be the one ??)

Does the Linux firewall that is avalaible in Webmin applies also on IPV6 ? or only on IPV4 ?
