Webmin

Can any one help. I was running out of hard drive space an noticed the miniserv.error has grown to over 27 GB. How can i clear it? I am running webmin 1.770. I enabled log clearing but it didnt seem to work. Thanks.

I have been struggling a few hours but cannot set up email for my opencart (Version 2.x)

I installed webmin and virtualmin in ubuntu VPS.

I can send email through mail() function in php to my gmail account.

I send a test email from my gmail to one of my emails of one of my domains, and i can receive the email in webmin > Server > Read User Mail.

From webmin > Server > Read User Mail, i can also compose and send a test email to my gmail.

I installed opencart 2.x to one of the domain.

I am after some advice. Several of my users are receiving emails with cryptolocker in them and one even clicked on the link encrypting her entire computer. I have Operating system Ubuntu Linux 14.04.2, Webmin version 1.770, Virtualmin version 4.18.gpl, Postfix Mail Server, SpamAssassin Mail Filter and Procmail Mail Filter.

Should the email system detect cryptolocker?

Are the some changes I can make to improve the detection?

I have set up Dovecot mail. All settings are defaults. No SSL. I created a user in one of the virtual domains. The user can login on IMAP or POP3 using telnet. This is the resulting line from mail.info:

So the user name, password, protocol and authentication are correct.

Nice but -

1. Bookmarks don't appear to work (on Firefox at least).
2. No ability to directly enter directory path.
3. Can Cut/Paste - but what about Copy/Paste?
4. Can no longer get directory size information.
5. Would be nice if there were Next/Previous controls for pagination.

P.S. How is it there's little, if any, 'official' support in the Source Forge Webmin forum?

I created Reversed DNS for my domains.

The main domain is myfirstdomain.com with Name server ns1.myfirstdomain.com and ns2.myfirstdomain.com

I configure some subdomains from: mail01.myfirstdomain to mail10.myfirstdomain.com.

Then I add the new virtual Machine, with domain name: myseconddomain.com.

I create the subdomains again from mail01.myseconddomain.com to mail10.myseconddomain.com with reversed ip.

I have each ip for each sub domains.

How do I get the old filemanager back? The new filemanager is a real pain to work with. And I no longer can have several files open for editing and/or viewing at the same time, I have to close and save file by file... and that makes my work take much more time. And Also the multiple scrollbars and the buttons that always dissapears out of screen make my have to scroll everything back and forth all the time!

The old filemanager was in my opinion a really good thing to work with!

There are a lot of records in my syslog file like this one:

Oct 5 10:45:01 server /USR/SBIN/CRON[29603]: (root) CMD (/etc/webmin/status/mon itor.pl)

There is a cronjob every 5 minutes for that script.

1) What is monitor.pl doing and why it has to be run every 5 minutes?

2) I am not using webmin service. I start it when is requested. Deleting the cron job is a good idea? Or increasing the time to 1h, 1d?

Hi there! Virtualmin Pro adds websites with the monitoring feature to the Webmin "System and Server Status" module. However, I have over a hundred websites hosted with other systems, which I also would like to monitor. And by the way, I would like to disable the monitoring on the Virtualmin box and put everything on one dedicated external one. Now the question: is there a way to add a monitor to the module without clicking and adding each one manually in the Webmin interface? Via command line or something? That would be very useful, but I could not find any info on that...
