Mysql v5.2 available?

Forums:

Hello:

I am running CentOS Linux 6.6 and Virtualmin version 4.13.gpl GPL.

Trustwave PCI has failed me fof an unsupported version of mysql.

Webmin reports mysql 5.1.73-3.el6_5 is installed, and says that is the latest.

Trustwave is looking for mysql 5.2.

Will this be updated?

Thanks, Bill

How to change Monitor on localhost.localdomain in monitor emails?

Forums:

Hi

I have about 10 servers, and I occasionally get this: Monitor on localhost.localdomain for 'xxxxxx' has detected that the service has gone down/up etc.

Where can I change localhost.localdomain? I have to look in the email headers everytime to find which server it came from.

FTP How to Restrict users to public_html

Forums:

I've followed the instructions at...

http://doxfer.webmin.com/Webmin/ProFTPD_Server

...to try and restrict users to their public_html folder. I get the same result as shown in the image under ...

Restricting users to their home directories

...and nothing seems to change. I can still login and see the parent folders to public_html.

How do I apply this restriction?

Yum: connect() timed out; failure: repodata/primary.xml.gz from virtualmin: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

I have several virtual servers installed using virtualbox on my windows machine.

My master copy of the virtualmin installation is working just fine, Yum updates correctly, there are no issues, so I'm able to rule out my network connection.

Since they are clones, the difference between each of them is the hostname; the ip (static) and that's about it.

However doing a yum update on any of the clones causes an error I don't get on the master copy.

webmin@myhostname disapeared

Hi,

Since May 2nd, webmin's from email address (set through Webmin > Webmin Configuration > From address for email from Webmin) wich defaults to webmin@ disparead. I didn't remove it. Did any one experience such a dissapearance ,

I noticed it because I didn't receive Virtualmin scheduled backup notifications anymore. Since the are sent using default webmin's from address, these notifications where rejected by smtp servers (sent from unexistant user).

I'm running Webmin 1.750 and Virtualmin version 4.17.gpl on a Debian powered host.

IPTables: http / port 80 accepted rule not working, https rule is working

Forums:

Hi,

Due to a recent breach on my system I`m now tightening up the security of my server.

I have setup IP tables and I want default action to REJECT except for my listed rules.

This works for the HTTPS rule, for the IMAP rule, etc. But it is not working for my HTTP / port 80 rule.

I checked apache config and apache should be running on port 80. I also did netstat -tulpn | grep :80 to find out port 80 was being used by apache. This was the exact output:
