Replace Webmins Self-Signed Cert w/goDaddys

Forums:

I have found detailed threads regarding adding an certificate for a virtual host and I have done that before.

However I want to replace (or add as chain, whichever is recommended) the self-signed cert that Webmin itself is using for the host address. I can't seem to find how to generate a CSR from within Webmin>Webmin Configuration>SSL Encryption.

Am I going about this the wrong way? A shove in the right direction would be appreciated.

Batch Change Permissions in File Manager

Forums:

The new cPanel File Manager allows batch changing file permissions, via Select All and Clear All, shift select, etc.

The File Manager on my new Vmin host does not appear to have this feature, although I thought that Usermin on my former host did. Could someone point me to it? I searched the forum and docs for "batch permissions" and didn't find it.

Or maybe this is a design decision, and there is an assumption that GUI users shouldn't be batch changing permissions, and I guess that might be reasonable, too.

Thanks, Ken

Default Virtual Server

Forums:

Hello,

I am a new user of Webmin + Virtualmin. I installed it and used for a month without problem but I have a small question.

When I go to http://[IP_of_the_server/, I got the first virtual server. Is there a way to change that behavior by displaying a custom virtual server ?

I searched through the forum for 'fallback or default virtual server' but no answer to my question.

Thanks a lot,

Tristan

MySql database backups with strftime substitution

Forums:

Hello Joe

would there be any way to have the webmin/mysql/backup.pl script do a strftime substitution on the name of the MySql database backups directory so one could have a rotating backup scheme, the same way you have it set up for the full Virtualmin server backup schedules?

The idea would be that since the databases change all the time and it would be useful to be able to roll them back, one could keep many more generations of database backups than of the full virtual server backups (which take up much more space).

Many thanks! Robert

BIND DNS CONFIGURATION AND VIRTUAL SERVER CREATION

Forums:

Hi, i've configured Bind Server in Webmin to create zone files as i want, with custom records and a template file. I've tried it in webmin creating a new master dns zone and it works. But if i create a new virtual server in virtualmin professional zone files are created as like as the default and not with my configuration. What can i do to resolve this problem? Thanks.

Can't find PHP Versions page

Forums:

I would like to configure my virtual servers to used different versions of PHP. However, when going to the virtual server page, I'm unable to find the options the PHP Versions help page describes such as Default HTML directory and so forth.

Is this a pluggin that needs to be installed first?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
