Webmin 1.430
Hi,
is it save to update Webmin to 1.430? Since the update doesn't show up in VM Updates, I just wanted to ask before killing my installation.
Thanks

Questions and discussion about Webmin or any of the services it manages.
Hi,

Hi, I have a virtualmin install, but wanted to create a simple domain (not to be managed by virtualmin) where I will house a simple php script called pastebin.
I created a domain in webmin by going to Webmin -> Servers -> Apache Webserver. I clicked on Create virtual host tab and went to town.
I noticed a new entry in the bind module - Public key
Is there any documentation available??
I have installed a DomainKeys filter but its not quite working yet. I made the entry in the records manually selector1._domainkey IN TXT "k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCS....wIDAQAB; t=y" but my mail is still going to hotmails/live.com junk folder
seems MS is getting more strict in the last months so i need the keys to work.
I followed the documentation @ http://jason.long.name/dkfilter/
In Webmin/Servers/Read User Mail module I can see all mail accounts on my system.
I see that when mail is in one of those accounts that there is a (xx.xx kB in 1) type of entry after the account name.
I have noticed though that even accounts that have no mail still have the KB message and that it grows larger depending on their mail volume.
Example:
Some mail account with high volume but has deleted all their mail. highuser.example (151.03 kB in 1)
Some mail account with low volume but has deleted all their mail. lowuser.example (10.27 kB in 1)
Anyone using strftime-style time substitutions on file or directory name for scheduled webmin backups?
It looks like the error message is there, I just don't know where the module option is to allow this. I do scheduled backups from the Webmin side for the system config. I'd like to be able to date/preserve them over time. I went ahead and defined an entry with %m%d%y in the file name under:
Webmin -> Backup Configuration Files -> Scheduled Backups
And am given the following error message:
I saw the Intro video and the very first thing I noticed is that webmin should run on https://. My setup does not... I tested running my cp (webmin /virtualmin) but Im getting this error...
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:10000. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)
I'm alarmed... How do I setup webmin to run on https:// ?
Thanks!.
Howdy yall, I hope this is the proper forum for this question, admin please move as needed!
My hosting box: CentOS 4.6(updated), Webmin, V-min(GPL). I host 3 very simple websites and supply DNS/Bind for 1 additional site(hosted on another box). I was very pleased to see that Jamie and/or Joe decided to add the SpamAssasin plugin for the GPL users, thank you. After activating the plugin I reaslised that sending mail from one of my virtual domains showed the hostname of the box. (I don't believe there is a connection here, only the timing from my tests of the plugin)
I hope I posted this to the right area. I didn't think it would be directly related to virtualmin, and I searched but couldn't find anything, but here goes. My ISP blocks port 25. Everything with my Virtualmin is working wicked otherwise. Is there a way to use my ISP's mail servers to act as a go between from my server at home to the internet etc? Basically I want to have person@example.com and have my clients check their email through usermin etc. Or use Outlook and others. But I can't directly from home because of this port 25 issue.
virtualmin theme deb package does not seem to install the virtualmin theme for usermin.
can you please add this feature? so that the theme only has to be installed once for the WHOLE system?
thanks...
Postinstall setup .. Out of memory!
Will the computer just run away with my memory at this time? Or shall I wait it out, and the install script will finally finish? I've noticed ALL RAM is now used after that run-postinstall.pl script is ran, and HD constantly swaps as of now...
shall I just wait it out overnight, and let it to continue to swap? or is this a memory leak?
this is a 3.02gz machine with 1gig DDR ram installed....
what's causing the issue with the postinstall stuff?
usermin installs fine!
help!
