Disable SSL in Usermin

I think I have it all sorted out except one thing.

I need to disable the use of SSL within webmail.

I don't wish to mess around with buying a cert for this server (which is only temporary) but I don't want to explain to the users that they have to accept a certificate which is not authentic. If you see what I mean.

In Usermin, SSL Encryption, there is an option "Enable SSL if available? Yes/No" which I have set to off.

Missing dependency

Bearing in mind the aggro I have had lately, I simply knew I would have trouble :o(

Fresh install on a new install of CentOS 5.3.

I get the following error :

--> Finished Dependency Resolution httpd-devel-2.2.3-22.el5.centos.1.i386 from installed has depsolving problems --> Missing Dependency: httpd = 2.2.3-22.el5.centos.1 is needed by package httpd-devel-2.2.3-22.el5.centos.1.i386 (installed)

Am I stressed or what ?

Does anyone have any clues please ?

Virtualmin on regulat SSL port 443 - how

Sirs

I want to be able to administer my virtualmin GPL (in emergencies) from a mobile phone browser. Snag is (at least here in NZ) that the variuous browsers wont accept a port number at all when using https. I have not yet tried a phone with opera or an Iphone.

Is there a way I can force Virtualmin to expose its interface on 443 (and remove the corresponding catchall in apache) so that this will work?

Is there any glaring disadvantage to this other than it being easier to find.

Is there another way to spoof this easily with the firewall/proxy

Need alternative method of sending by SMTP urgently

Hi people.

I am having difficulty getting SASL to work using Sendmail.

I have spent several days trying everything I can but still fail.

This is becoming a major issue and I need to get some method of allowing SMTP via my server immediately, just for a week or whatever whilst the SASL issue is sorted.

What can I do to allow email to be sent from external connections without using SASL ?

The box is running Fedora 5 and Sendmail

Many thanks for reading

Bandwidth Monitoring doesn't work

I can't get the Bandwidth Monitoring to work. It's enabled, but after 3 days it still shows "No bandwidth usage statistics have been collected yet.".

All the settings are set default except that "FTP server log file" & "Mail server log file" are set to "none" (no ftp or mail server in use).

Apache logging seems to work ok for all of the websites.

Any idea on what could be the problem here?

Thanks!

URL for webmail redirect question

Am I right in understanding that, in the Server Template -> Apache Website section, for webmail redirects, if I want the default webmail redirect to point to a single URL (that has a cert) for all servers on the system:

[ul][li]The URL specified below would replace the default redirect option?[/li] [li]I have to put in the port number for the default URL?[/li][/ul]

Virtualmin "new features" display, can we disable?

When logging into Virtualmin Pro, by default the "new features" dropdown is displayed in the default system information page. Is there any way to disable this by default, or at least to not have this expanded? For many of our "administrators" this would only be confusing to them to find out about upgraded install scripts etc.

I know they can close this manually after the fact...
