I can't find any mention of this in the docs/forums, so here goes:

I'm looking to migrate a number of accounts from a sendmail/dovecot system to virtualmin.

On the source system, new mail is stored in /var/spool/mail/accountname, and saved mail is stored in /home/accountname/mail with files like Drafts, saved-messages, sent-mail etc. I don't know what format these files are in (mbox?)

Hello all, I'm getting errors emailed to me from cron telling me:

Time sever different with local time too large: 39958 days

running date shows me correct time,Wed May 27 18:49:41 EDT 2009 and system time is also correct.

I've set my time server to time-a.nist.gov and when I select Sync and Apply Virtualmin sets the time accordingly... but I'm getting these darn emails!

I've searched for this error but didn't see how to fix this. Anyone have a pointer for me?

A while back, I created a virtual server, then added an alias to it - a new domain name that point to the first. It shows in Virtualmin the Virtual Server and the alias, but for some reason can't remove the alias. When I clic on the alias domain name, it gives me an option to Disable Virtual Server or Delete Virtual Server. However, when I Disable Virtual Server, it disables the entire site - not just the alias (thankfully I did not Delete Virtual Server).

How can I remove this alias from the virtual server? I'd like to make this domain it's own virtual server.

Hello i have Vitualmin and Webmin running in a Debian 4 X64 enviroment.

and i am having a problem with the DNS (I think)

when i create a sub server (to me they are subdomains) it works in some occasion and in others the navigator says can resolve the address.

1 example is http:n.venez-rever.com:1666 or http://crnes.paintballaparis.com or http://drupal.paintballaparis.com

For various reasons, I sometimes need to migrate accounts from one server to another server. For example, one server might be going out of service, so all accounts on it must be migrated.

I deploy servers in pairs with all content being redundantly stored via rsync from one server to the other. I also use MySQL replication to keep database data redundant. This full redundancy is required.

I'm wondering if Virtualmin/Webmin can help the process of migrating from one server to another quickly. This would also be useful in cases where one server unexpectedly goes down.

Hi, On a new server with 2 public IPs, I would like to set 1 site to 1 dedicated public IP and not the one that is set now. I do not know how to set that, in "Edit Virtual Server" I think...

If someone know how to set that that would help me (and hopefully someone else)

Since a couple of month I have problem with stalling programs. That is namely Webmin and Usermin (several times a day) and sometimes Postfix and Dovecot.

I recently activated a GPL version of Virtualmin (3.66) on an Amazon EC2 instance as a potential alternative to a Cobalt RaQ web appliance I had previously used. Unfortunately the product is unusable without extensive background knowledge or hours pouring through the documentation. A pity as there is a real need for an easy-to-use solution.

Hi, yesterday my provider complained about a wrongly set bounce address, so he received a lot of bounced email, due to my hit quota limit for the webspace...

At the same time he had the concern, my smtp server would be an open relay, which is why I set it more restrictive. However, I think I found the error at a different place, with some wrongly set aliases.

Now, I probably set either the limits to strict, or I really left my stmp server wide open...
