Until recently, I was able to upgrade ClamAV by following the advice here http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9882970&postcount=2 , but now find I get a message like "no trusted key found" when applying apt-key adv etc...

First of all, I've never used Bind and just want to make sure of what it does: I can use it if I want to get rid of dyndns.com service, for example, right? To point the nameserver to the same machine (IP) where the site is?!

Although I'm using Virtualmin/Webmin for a long time, I'm new to this forum. So wanna say Hi for everybody. Also want to thank to the development team for developing such a great tool like virtualmin.

My problem Is, I can't find any mail log for Postfix in /var/log/

I checked the settings in Bandwidth Monitoring and there the mail log file location is set as /var/log/mail.log

I tried to manually create the log file and it doesn't work for me.

I'm using Virtualmin 3.87.gpl in an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x86_64 server.

For an unknown reason, webmin and usermin don't start anymore at boot time. They correctly start afterward by issuing /etc/init.d/webmin start /etc/init.d/usermin start without any error.

In System > Bootup and shutdown, they are both set "No" in the "At boot?" column when setting to "Yes", they keep the "No"

No errors in log files /var/usermin/miniserv.error and /var/webmin/miniserv.error

One of our clients has an in-house Postfix mailserver which basically downloads mail for the individual users from our mail server hosted on the web using fetchmail. They use our SMTP server to send mail. Their email clients are then setup to get & send mail from the server, on 192.168.2.254 (for POP3 & SMTP). All mail between them on the local LAN gets send to each other via the server, and not the internet.

I am setting up a firewall to give some additional protection to a remote asterisk server, but want a little help, as, at this level (server), I want to get it right first time!!

1 - I have chosen the option to allow all webmin related activity through, to get the basics going.

Is there a Webmin variable for a random number? For example ${$RND(3)} where (3) is the range/number of digits?

Right now in Virtualmin I have the default MySQL database name set to start with a custom field value and and end in _default, but I just ran in to an issue where I found out that a sub-server will get the same default database name and fail to create the server unless the MySQL feature is disabled for either to top-level server or the sub-server.

Let me start by saying that I didn't actually delete anything I didn't want to delete - because I'm ultra-paranoid. :-)

And overall, my experience with Webmin/Virtualmin has been excellent - indeed, I opened this account weeks ago, and several times started to prepare questions for the forum but each time discarded them as I found the answer here. I had to move almost 100 domains for my non-profit webhosting from an end-of-life hosting to Rackspace and I shudder to think what it would have been like without *min...

But here's my little complaint.
