I have noticed that Webmin lets you configure a MySQL database for Webmin users which works nice.
I was wondering if its possible to use this database also for Linux users/groups, or its only limited to Webmin users?
If not is there a way to setup a cron or auto sync schedule for users/group among a Webmin cluster?
The reason I ask this is because you can do this manually under the cluster tab among servers and it works nice, but how about doing this once a day for example?
How do you change a email address from user@server.domain.com to user@domain.com
Hello there,
Here we have a client who's been trying to install Virtualmin on CentOS but receiving a ClamAV error during the process. After repeated trials he still doesn't manage to get it right. Upon digging and reading through a couple of documentation, it seems CentOS is recommended for CPanel though Virtualmin's site mentions that as well (under the distro recommendation).
I've installed Virtualmin on CentOS platform in the past for a couple of our customers and never had a problem with that. But this time the situation is different, neither am I able to get it done.
a localhos server
free command
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1010 859 150 0 144 434
-/+ buffers/cache: 281 728
Swap: 2047 0 2047
Webmin information:
Real memory 1010.43 MB total, 294.58 MB used
Virtual memory 2 GB total, 16 kB used
Exactly I have or not free 728 Mb memory? or is only 150 Mb because some process use it?
Other question; is better take a vps with
528 MB Ram and 528 MB swap
or
1024 MB Ram and 20 MB swap?
Hi, I've migrated my Webmin, Virtualmin and all my website from an Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit VPS server to a CentOS 6.3 64bit VPS server, using this procedure:
https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/system/migrate
After that, all works well, but the Postfix server is not sending any email.
Looking into the maillog LOG file I can see:
I am looking for information about the System Time module, especially about what these 2 configuration settings mean:
Thank you for any help.
Hi all,
we are running webmin behind an apache reverse proxy for external access. The port for external access is different from the port webmin is bound to internally. Until 1.600 only had to set referers= to allow this kind of configuration.
Hello
The web sites I build have been designed on keeping http and https content in different root folders
e.g http /home/username/public_html https /home/username/secure_html
I can see on the Webmin -> Servers -> Apache Webserver that ther are two entries, one for port 80 and one for port 443, and they both point to /home/username/public_html
is is possible to change within Virulamin the 443 root directory from within Virtualmin/Webmin, or is it a hack using vi and the Apache config file.
Hi,
I installed Webmin with no issues many times simply with the install script but this time I'm having problems.
I was using Webmin when suddently the admin interface on :10000 stopped working (Connection refused). I checked the /var/webmin/miniserv.error and nothing seem wrong... I restarted webmin with /etc/init.d/webmin restart and got able to re-login.
I was able to use it for like 5 minutes until I clicked on a link and again, connection refused. (It's not the same link that " make it crash ", it seems totally random).
