Webmin

I discovered that when someone visits the secure version of a website on my server they get automatically redirected to my company website instead of being redirected to the non-https version of the respective website.

Can anyone explain to me how I can fix this? Thank you!

Not sure if this is a Webmin or Virtualmin question.

I have a Debian VPS running Webmin/Virtualmin, everything up to date. On that VPS something like 20 virtual hosts running smoothly (so far :-).

My upstream host does the DNS for me and so I stopped using Bind on my VPS, it's off. Why ? because it feels safer for me, I'm maybe a little paranoid.

I've just had to migrate from my existing server to a backup box due to hardware failure. After doing so, I am unable to get the config quite right with Google Apps and Postfix, here are my symptoms:

I host many websites, around 50 or so at present, most of which use Google Apps, or some other off-site service - all of these work fine.

I have a single client who uses the local mail system on this server, but for some reason the mail intended for them gets redirects off to a Google Apps account.

I would like to know how to disable that message "Error - Access denied for 192.168.1.85" after I setup allow only specific IPs in Webmin->Webmin Configuration->IP Access Control.

I just would like to know how to just show empty page instead of this message. Silence is gold in this case I'd say. :)

I suppose you could edit language files to do that but it's a different story! Is there a normal way of doing it?

My backups will just not work anymore keeps giving me the same error

I have an icecast server running on one of my vps's for a client the module shows up fine in the default theme under which it was originally installed I changed the theme recently to the new one I was working on. The underlying logic for displaying webmin modules has not been modified at all. The default modules which are all of them save this one I installed for this one case purpose because I was tired of managing the thing from the command line. I wrote them a small php management tool in the back-end of their website but it only manages the source client which is fine.

Hi,

It had been a while since I installed any patches, so I decided to 'intall all packages" tonight. The machine seemed to freeze when it was installing the webmin patch, so I stupidly rebooted. It seems there was also an error while installing perl updates, if I remember correctly.

Now, webmin does not start at bootup.

I am relatively new to virtualmin/webmin.

I have a server with Virtualmin 3.97.gpl GPL and Webmin 1.610.

I have the following configuration:

• domain.com (top lever server) -- domain.mx (alias) -- domain.ca (alias)

• dev.domain.com (top level server) -- dev.domain.mx (alias) -- dev.domain.ca (alias)

Basically my website detects the domain name requested and serves the content accordingly, hence the above setup. The "dev" subdomains are the development versions of the website.

Just got a new VPS. Everything is setup.

Server setup: BIND server - active (one master zone domain.co.uk) apache webhost - active (one virtual host for domain.co.uk)

Now it was working fine and I got sendmail to send emails to all email addresses using mail function.

However most of the emails sent were to my own yahoo and hotmail emails to test the feature.

I mainly use PHP mail() function.
