Webmin

I've set up incremental daily backups to Amazon S3 on my Webmin server, however the email reports I get always report the same size of backups... which are equal to the initial full backup. Maybe I'm just getting it wrong, but I thought incremental backups would be smaller in filesize compared to the original backup -- I've probably got it wrong in my settings though.

Can someone glance an eye over what I've got below, and maybe tell me where I'm going wrong?

I'm having some problems with Webmin on my system - it hasn't been the most stable system ever, but it's less so now. Every time i go to the panel, as soon as I login I get either 'The server refused the connection' or 'Empty response' error from Chrome. I've had this problem quite a lot with Webmin, and restarting it with '/etc/init.d/webmin restart' used to fix it for a while, but now I can't get past the login screen. If I do, as soon as I click on something from the menu on the left, I get the error again.

Hello all, The website that i have on a virtual ip is faulting on the database connection. It says: Warning: mysql_connect(): Host 'www.xxxxxxxx.com' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server.

So the www above is an actual hostname and i have been through everything that i can think of and changed this. However it is still thinking that the server Host is that address.

Where should i go in webmin to look to see if this still exists somewhere? Am i missing something?

Is it possible to configure postfix to reject email where the Senders and Receivers email address are the same and found on my server but the ip address in the header is not my ip address or my localhost?

Hi, I encountered the problem few weeks ago. First I didn't pay to much attention and I let the server running, but for now, there is a lot of upgrades to be fixed and I'm stuck.

If I try to upgrade something the process will ended with the message below. Even the autoremove.

I recently bought a vps with a company called Awardspace. I have spoken to them about this issue for the past few days and unfortunately they have been unable to resolve the problem and are offering to completely whipe the server and start over, which could take days and is something I would very much like to avoid.

I would like to migrate everything but my gateway monitor says 'frequency out of range' and I haven't been able to see anything on that computer for ages.

I used the backup utility and saved to my browser, but the restore option keeps crashing. Is there a step by step so I can back up the virtualmin on the old computer and restore to my new server?

all FTP connections after may 31st fails.

I'm not sure, but I think that it occurs after last Virtualmin/Webmin update. Maybe on june 1st but I'm not sure.

I am totally new to virtualmin and I am not sure how to configure the email client. As Instructed in the previous forums I tried to configure the email client (ThunderBird), But it is prompting password again and again. I have cross checked and verified that the username and password I provided is correct. Also I was able to login to the webmail using the same password and username.

I am experiencing quite strange problem with Webmin > Others > Custom Commands > Custom Editor creating duplicated files instead of overriding the existing one.

I have Advanced Policy Firewall (APF) installed on my CentOS 6.4 server. To make it easier for my users I have created File Editor for /etc/apf/deny_hosts.rules with the detailes shown in the attached screenshot.
