Hello to all users.

I have a problem with the configuration of webmin for the email account.

In practice, I need to know how do I configure the DNS in the control panel of my domain to aruba, and how do I configure the DNS in the webmin panel or virtualmin.

Many thanks if there was one person who can help me, because I'm in big trouble with all my sites.

Hi, I have a problem for setting up DKIM. I have installed DKIM according the instructions.

When I check the source of email I get the following error: dkim=neutral (bad format) header.i=@mydomain.com

When check it here http://dkimcore.org/tools/keycheck.html I get this: DNS query failed for '2013._domainkey.xxxxxxx. A public-key (p=) is required.

This is very strange because in the DNS there is a TXT record for my domain with the encryption key.

I have successfully shared separate folders using Webmin GUI for samba. My question is:-

I tried sharing the individual sub folders, which works fine, but when I then access the Shared folder at the top I can access all three subfolders.

I would like to Share the above folder so that User1 can see Shared and Sub 1, User2 can See Shared, Sub 1 and Sub 2, and User 3 to see Shared, Sub 1 and Sub 3

Is such a thing possible and if so can someone point me towards a guide please?

Hi,

I was looking at services I can disable at startup and I noticed that I can disable Postgres since I am running Wordpress on mysql. I was only wondering if maybe webmin/virtualmin use postgres, so I thoguht I should ask first before disabling.

I would like to give a user access to manage a specific directory on the system without using FTP. I've created a user in Webmin, but by default that user has root-level access. I've had some difficulty finding documentation on Webmin user permissions, could someone point me in the right direction? Running Virtualmin/Webmin 1.660 on Debian 7.

I found "Root directory for file chooser" but changing its value appears to have no effect on the logged-in user.

It seems when installed anyone can locate it via google and signup an email account meaning spammers can use it. Anyway to secure this besides manually making at htaccess login?

I would like to ask if Webmin management page can work on IPv6 with FreeBSD.

I properly installed Webmin but by typing https://[ipv6]:10000 I just get nothing :(

From what I know all webmin versions above 1.530 support IPv6 but I don't know if thy can work only with IPv6 addresses or they also need to use a IPv4 address?

Is there a file were I could change the webmin service to use IPv6 address and listen on port 10000?

After changing the variables of MySQL, it does not start.

All I did was bump up the memory limits a little bit.

I looked in my mysql logs and they are all empty and 0 bytes..anyone?

My server has 5 IP addresses - one main one (eth0) and 4 other (eth0:1 etc).

I want to swap the main IP address of the server (eth0) to one of the other. Is it as simple as going to networking configuration/networking interfaces/eth0 and editing it (and that of the virtual IP address)?

Well, joy not for long cos now I cant connect to the virtualmin installed mysql server via Virtualmin and even on the console I can only connect without password but I cannot even create a database. From the Debian terminal

mysql That works

mysql -u root That works too

mysql -u root -p Works ONLY IF I do not enter a pw but just press enter. Else if use a pw gives the following error: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
