Webmin

I do a weekly backup and then daily incremental.

The full ran last night and took over 12 hours to backup 1gb of data (to Amazon S3).

How can I track the delay/issue in the long backup process?

The confirmation email indicates about 7 hours of backing up, but event that sounds a lot!

Is there a backup log?

Hi all, I really hope some one might be able to help me, im trying to set up emails on my server and then download the emails via outlook express on my pc, or phone mail server.

ive been on this for weeks and its driving me mad.

my setup. debian 6 64bit virtualmin, webmin and postfix the outlook.

i really need a step by step of how to setup my email account and server.

mydomain.com - ipn.umb.er1 sup.mydomain.com - ipn.umb.er2

I've got an email address with parent domain - mydomain.com -> email@mydomain.com

I got something strange happen, the cron page wont show when I click the link... Webmin-System-Scheduled Cron Jobs

In process of attempting to test out this module, I have notice that the the option to use register.com is kind of goofy. When you select the registrar from the drop-down list, click 'start adding' and click 'new partner account page' from the instructions below, it brings you to the partner site where you sign up, however there is a problem with this all.

I want to add rule for ssh port, i want to access only from eth1 and reject from eth0.

In eth0 i have public IP and in eth1 i have internal IP

I had an auto Webmin update in the last week that seems to have messed up the PHP from loading properly on an Apache Web Server. Basically the PHP file is loading and not being interpreted by the web browser. I am running Wordpress on the server, but from what I seem to have run down, it appears to be directly related to the PHP. The Apache articles I found indicate to modify httpd.conf file to "AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php". I was not sure if this is the right course of action with Webmin.

Semi urgent:

All of a sudden, root login to our WebMin interface is failing. But, i can use the same user: root pwd: ****** that I have been using all along to log into the server via SSH-shell terminal session.

We did an update last night and now we are experiencing a very odd issue.

When mysqld is started using "service mysqld start" or when the server boots up mysql server page in Webmin shows that only information_schema and test databases are available. If I run "killall mysqld" until no mysqld processes are left running, I can then run mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables & and the databases show up fine. It appears that the system has disassociated the mysql databases stored in /var/lib/mysql/ and I cannot find where it is pulling the others from.

Hello, I recently installed Webmin + Virtualmin on my VPS.

I'm trying to install ProFTPD to manage FTP access;

At the end of the installation, I received a success message, saying that the file is installed in:

/ usr / libexec / webmin / proftpd

But when I try to start the service, it tells me that was not found any installation in:

/ usr / sbin / proftpd

I tried to configure the module with this new path: (/ usr / libexec / webmin / proftpd).
