Webmin

Hello,

I am tryng to remove pop3 protocol from Dovecot, since I don't use it.

I have gone to Webmin>Servers>Dovecot Imap/POP3 Server and then to Networking and Protocols, but when I click on IMap to just selct that protocol, save configuration and restart Dovecot, it always appear again as selected the POP3 protocol.

I have been trying to find information of this on the forums but without much luck. So I was wondering what I am doing wrong and if this is possible to achieve from Webmin.

Could anyone possibly tell me where I can find a good documentation about clustering bind on webmin ? I spend weeks on it and still it's not working correctly.

The most common problem that I have is when I'm creating a new master zone on the master server after approving changes, the master sending zone to the slave but the slave zone on the slave is empty.

I saw on the Internet that lots of people facing this problem.

Saw this in the 'Read User Mail' area on the root account not a virtual servers account, I check occasionally for things dunno if I should be looking into it more or if it's fine.

I presume whoever sent this was trying to run an exploit via php and postfix, I run Centos 6.6 all up to date so I don't know if it means anything being the root account that had this message.

I doubt its php as I don't use the cc etc fields on my site so how the message got in listed as root I dunno.

Suddenly SFTP is failing for one domain on our server. (CentoOS 6.2)

My FTP client (Vicom) FTP transcript log is blank... if I log into the server and tail /var/log/secure or var/log/messages and try to log in ... In don't see anything (continuous attack from chinese bots underway though!)

No new failed access lines or messages are added to indicate my attempts... if i try from the terminal

Hi All !! I've got 2 dns authoritative servers running Centos 5.11 and bind 9.3.6 that are under ddos attack from about 1 month. Searching the web I see the possibility to activate RRL under bind from version 9.9.4. Is there possibility to update my bind to that version? Is it compatible with Webmin Cluster for dns synchronization between this 2 servers? Thanks a lot!

Time module cannot being installed. When I try to installed it I get the following error:

"Failed to install standard module. Module time does not support this operating system (Debian Linux 7)."

Possible issue generators:

I am using Debian 7.7 maybe this module is not recognize the system I am using a VPS on OpenVZ

hi, maybe you already know: clients on Mac which use Apple Mail as email client... can't send email if "Require SMTP authentication" on the smtp port is OFF...

but if i enable it my server can't receive emails from external relays and neither locally...

how to fix in Sendmail? thanks

Update - It seems the config got hosed after the updates. Could be unrelated, but I restore the webmin config of postfix and the problem is now fixed. I am getting a bunch of emails from various servers telling me my server was spitting out a postfix config warning which of course did no good because I couldn't get the mail.

Today I did these package updates. It seems ever since no external mail is making it into the server, even in maillog. Anyway I think I'm good now.
