I am newbie on virtualmin. and i am learning on virtualmin in the last 6 month. Virtualmin/Webmin rocks!!! hehehe...

anyway i tried to install Bacula through "Webmin Configuration--Webmin Modules--Install from Standard module from www.webmin.com--(i choose bacula-backup)--then it says "Failed to install standard module : Module bacula-backup requires Webmin version 1.700 or above"

any info from virtualmin rockstars in here....hehehhe...

I have created a slave system based on this documentation: http://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/id,dns_slave_auto-configuration_...

When I create a new master zone in my master system, the zone is replicated to my slave. However, when I click on the zone within the master, though replicated from the master, it doesn't contain any records for the zone. It looks like only the zone is created but with empty records.

I want to transfer one domain in one server to other server including home directory and MySQL database.

I tried to restore that domain in other server.

but i get this error:

Restore failed: Failed to lock file /etc/passwd after 5 minutes. Last error was :

difference of two server is ext3 and ext4

I've been trying to figure out how to get the latest version of webmin installed. My current version is 1.690 and I am failing scans for PCI compliance because it is out of date (well there are vulnerabilities that the latest version addresses).

Now I've followed directions on the web and there is just no update button as there was for usermin.

I've tried via ssh to do yum update webmin and receive "no packages marked for update", did a yum clean all, same thing.

Is there a way to have a secondary mail server?

I.E. I currently have two servers, one Virtualmin, and the second is a webmin instance which is currently set up as a secondary DNS server.

After doing some DNS tests, it was advised to have a secondary mail server, and I'm thinking of setting up the webmin server to act as a secondary mail server for the virtual min server.

I have searched around, and have been unable to find any details.

I followed the advice on Webmin screen to auto-remove packages that are no longer required, and ran into trouble when I did a server reboot. Apache won't start, and more importantly procmail did not work because of missing procmail-wrapper, which I managed to fix by "apt-get install procmail-wrapper"

Now I have another problem. After checking the mail logs I noticed this:

On CentOS 6.5, I would like to use these instructions to update rsyslog to current. I need to have a version of it that parses multi-line messages, and that is only available on 7.5.3+ (CentOS officially is at 5.8.1).

I have confirmation that on standard CentOS (no control panel), upgrading via the method above does not break things. Should I expect it to mess up Webmin at all?
