Is there something like "repair script" or can I do this somehow in virtualmin gui?

I mean - now I have some domains which I've created in virtualmin GPL version and they are setuped to use standard apache logging routine, but I want them all to use piped perl logging. If there were domains named not by numbers but by their domain names I would not ask this question because I can repair httpd.conf fast myself. But now it contains finding hash of domain_name => webmin_domain_number and replacing those values in httpd.conf.

No PHP configuration files were found. Adjust the module configuration to set the correct path to the global PHP config file.

Greetings all! Well! I just started re-studying the DNS aspect. The docs under Vmin might just as well be in Arkkadian (world's oldest formed language)to me. It is a Dark Zone.

I will one day hope to help other Newbies as soon as I can understand things! :-)

In the meanwhile what about: http://opendns.com ? Having just found it, it reads like a "must have/do" thing. If it turns out to be what it looks like, I'll certainly write it up for the Docs. Any commentary welcome.

I can get an error message from https://netcapitalisation.com which identifies the Server address ok:

Vmin doesn't appear to exist here:

I recently just had virtualmin set up for me and noticed that not all of my sites are showing up. 2 of my sites were showing up ok and 3 were getting gateway timeout errors.

I have my server behind a NAT router and use the router as opposed to a firewall setup on linux. All ports are opened correctly I believe.

I think the sites were all working for a day or so but then just noticed the problems with some of them. I have not changed anything on my server.

When I buy a VPS from my host, I have to give it a name.
I always assumed this was just an internal name, so just called it something dumb like "bert".

Then when setting up virtualmin and webmin, at some point (sorry, I should have took notes) it asked me for a root domain or base domain or something... I just used a domain I have registered but do not currently use, call it "sparedomain.com".

Unfortunately, these two early name choices show up all over the place in my vm/wm configuration.

Hi Joe, Did see a similar problem with another user (similar..) but I can't resolve it. I have a "rejection notice" via my Browser for the first time ever regarding Security Cert. (FFox simply won't proceed, I.E. will access only by "special arrangement").

Https://fablor.net:20000 will access (but with a password complaint re mail - same password doesn't work inside)

Hi I uploaded drupal 6.3 and drupal modules to my server. However I still see the apache2 test page. I tried uploading it to public_html. and /. Is there something I have to do to activate these chages? Or am I uploading to the wrong place?

HI I am hosting a domain on another host. I am using virtualmin/ec2 to host a subdomain. I need to give my other host the IP address to point my A record for the subdomain but alas I'm not sure what it is. When I click on my server it gives an IP but says shared by all servers. that ip isn't the same as my public dns or my private dns. do i have to create a virtual interface?

hi, I'm stuck at where it says Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and change the default= line to use the newly added Xen kernel, which will typically be the first one in the file (numbered 0).

Please assist with the steps to do this.
