Got a problem not covered by the docs? Don't know where to look in the docs or in the forums? All of the other forums over your head? If you're new to Virtualmin, this is the place for you.

Mongrel server

Is there any way to restart running mongrel server for each separated virtual host ? Ruby applications behave stragne (or in their own rules) so when I modifie something in code I need to see it "online" in browser and it sometime demands restart of mongrel server. So is there any way to restart it?

And second question. Can I somehow monitor if mongrel servers are running and responding (I hope it can be done through monitoring services) and if it is not running rerun mongrel server?

Thanks for any idea.

Thanks.

Restore from backup

Hey There,

I've scheduled a weekly backup from Virtualmin and now i need to restore some files. I've made the approrpiate selection but after i click on the "Show what will be restored" button the browser works a little then shows again the restore page. Though the machine is busy with the extraction, but the Virtualmin interface doesn't show the list of files. Is this a timeout issue?

On RE-install of Web/Vmin

Hi Joe, As I've had an awful lot of trouble with getting a stable server, could I ask that you hit the button to re-install my Web/Vmin, please?

There must be something I've done wrong last time, so the whole Server has been scrubbed and reloaded with CentOS.

I've sent you a private email with details - hope you got it.... my faith is sorely tried in the Net these days ... :-{

Cheers,

Himagain. (Am reading - just not seeing... :-{ )

.spam directory accessible from imap?

Argh, this really seems like something that must be answered already, but I didn't find anything in the FAQ, forum, or wiki :(

I want mail delivered normally into a folder in the user's account called 'Spam'. I see that there is a .spam file in the Maildir, but it's not visible to the users through their IMAP account. One has to log into the virtualmin/webmin module and view the mail to see that folder.

I went into System Settings -> Module Config -> Spam filtering options, and tried to set the Default delivery for spam.

Update failures

Virtual list 16 updates available, but when I try to update the they all fail. Below is the errors that is gives me. I have tried to update from the GNU interface and it says that there is already an update running. Can someone tell me why the updates fail?

Status->Apache restart not working

When I click on Restart Apache button, I have this error:

[code:1]* Starting web server apache2 (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs ...fail![/code:1] And Apache not working.

And when I am trying to start Apache:

[code:1]Failed to start service :

: * Starting web server apache2 ...done.[/code:1] (Apache now woks)

When I use terminal /etc/init.d/apache2 restart Apache restarts and WEB server is working (restarting takes about 10 seconds).
