Help! (Home for newbies)

I have installed the free virtualmin and I am having only one problem in figuring out why is this happening.

All of my domains are having the problme like they work when I have the www in them but non of them work when I remove the www ?

Also I would like to know how do I add the Alias.

I mean I have domain.com and also would like to have the my.domain.com as well point to the same content ?

I have created an Alias but then it just does not propogate for 72 hours now .

Hi when I Install Virtualmin on Ubuntu 8.10 I get this Error and the install skript stops.:

FATAL - Fatal Error Occurred: Something went wrong during installation: 0 FATAL - Cannot continue installation. [code:1]You can certainly do this in Virtualmin, although access is generally configured on a per-domain basis.

To set it up for existing domains, do the following :

1) Login as the master admin (root), and go to Webmin -> Servers -> MySQL Database, and click on User Permissions.

2) Click on 'Create a new user', and add an user with the username and password for the domain, but with the hosts set to something like 192.168.0.%

I need all of the traffic directed to one site directed to another site not on my server. (Including email if possible) Does that make sense? Traffic to oldsite.com â

Since 2 days I often can't login to virtualmin's address at https://###.###.###.###:10000

I get timeouts. It only works after I stop and restart the VPS.

What can that be?

Can anyone on here tell me how this would be possible within a virtualmin / Ubuntu 8.04 enviroment searced the internet found a few instruction but not seemed to work.

i want to be able to use the <?Php include> feature on a html page, Im not able to change the html extension to php as this is a template file.

Ive added

RemoveHandler .html .htm AddType application/x-httpd-php .html .htm

to the .conf file but made no difference also added this to the htaccess file again no difference can anyone point me in the right direction.

OK, I've searched through many forum posts and documentation articles, but I still cannot figure out how to get PHP4 on my system. I am a linux novice, so please try to explain things clearly...I don't know a lot of the "linux geek speak" stuff yet.

My system is CentOS 5.2. When I use "yum list" I can see that there are several php4* packages available via the virtualmin repository. So I did:

yum install php4*

and it seemed to work ok. However, when I do "php4 -v" I get this:

I am getting VERY frustrated trying to evaluate Virtualmin. Where is the document that fully describes the differences between the GPL and the paid Pro version?

Getting a lot of these: Failed to open /dev/pts/X

where X is an incremental number everytime I do something the generates this error.

First I tried using install script to install Typo - it won't let me and gave me that error.

Next I tried editing postfix's main.cf config file through postfix->config file and I press save and it gave me that error.

Any ideas?
