Help! (Home for newbies)

I am moving to a new hosting service that doesn't offer VirtualMin :(

They only offer Cpanel. I can manually migrate my webpages, databases, and mailfiles... but how do migrate my users passwords? Is there a way to either retrieve the users passwords in bulk from virtualmin? Or perhaps a way to copy an authentication file over after I create new accounts?

I am currently using the default VirtualMin with dovecot > PAM setup...

Just wondering, do I need to fill in any Name Server name or IP?

My host gives me a DNS1 and DNS2 name, but so far I didn't put it in anywhere and my websites work. I saw on a page that the put it in /etc/resolv.conf - is it needed? And if so, where? I can't find that in Webmin, and when I do it directly it will reset after start to something else.

I've a problem with my server security:

When a user want to go in /public_html/awststats-icon he arrive in /usr/share/awstats/icon/

How can i change this problem because it's dangerous for my system ?

Everything is acting completely correctly with one exception:

Users in Virtualmin always receive messages with: "To: undisclosed-recipients:;". It isn't looking out too nicely and i don`t know how to change it.

What I should do in order to in field: "To:" there was an address e-mail of the given user?

I've got one Virtualmin server up and running and it's great! Now I want a second development/test/whatever server that I can use and abuse without taking down the production system.

I have 2 domains, domain1.com and domain2.com.hk

Both are running and working.

For domain1.com I can get mail on mx.domain1.com with my pop3 client.

For mx.domain2.com.hk I get "error: invalid user name or password" - when I try to login the mailbox from my pop3 client. Both is correct though. Webmail works outgoing, or internally within my VPS.

How can I fix that?

my root server has gone offline and i needed to make a reinstall of the system some days ago. But as I said the server was offline and I could not make a backup through Webmin.

I had an FTP Account Setup that I was able to reach. I made a copy of the "var\lib\mysql" folder hoping to be able to just copy the contents to the new machine and have the mysql databases as i had them before. Although this is not the case. I am trying to copy in all possible ways but I does not seem right.

I'm trying to setup Dynamic IP Update, and for Dynamic DNS service the only option in the dropdown list is DynDNS. Is there a way to configure the system to use ZoneEdit.com's services? If so, what steps would need to be taken? I'm comfortable with using the console and editing files, so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

This is a clean install of Virtualmin 3.63 GPL (using the scripts) on a Ubuntu 8.04 server (clean install). This is only for a home network/hobby project of mine, so it's not really mission critical, but I am trying to figure this out.

I just installed Virtualmin 3.63.gpl GPL using the provided script. There were no errors and everything seems to be running. I setup a virtual server with a test email user, but when I send a test email from gmail nothing ever arrives no email, no bounce messages, nothing. If I send an email to a non exist user then a bounce message is sent back, so I know the Virtualmin server is at least looking at the email its being sent.

What am I doing wrong?

We recently did a lot of server upgrades, and one of our clients claims he no longer has access to Spam settings in his virtualmin/webmin. Is there something to turn on so this menu item becomes available for him again?
