editing the automated DNS records

Hi all, I'm trying to find where to edit and modify the actual records created automatically by virtualmin. What I want to achieve is to edit/modify them so every new created dns zone will have the dns entry as it's by default... I know that it can be done in "Edit Server template"\"BIND DNS Domain" but I can't get it how should I add these names, even though, the help is not too clear for me, so is there any actual real example that show how to put data and values?

Efficient way to change server hostname

Hello,

I am not a real newbie because I use VirtualMin for years but this time I feel like one : I try to efficiently change the "system hostname" of my server (the one you type during installation; at least using the "install.sh" file). I think it's used by a lot of place in VirtualMin/WebMin so I was thinking there is probably a place to change it globally but I can't found it ... neither through the search feature of VirutalMin nor through one forum topic.

Thanks in advance.

Scheduled Cron Jobs

Hi all,

Just a couple of questions.

Browsing around VM/WM I noticed that there is no cron job for Yum updates. Is this taken care of during the updates that VM seems to do on a regular basis or should I also set up a cron job for Yum ?

I also noticed that the cron job for "/usr/share/spamassassin/sa-update.cron 2>&1 | tee -a /var/log/sa-update.log" is disabled. Again, is this taken care of elsewhere or should that be enabled ?

Thanks for reading.

Encoding in autoreply emails

Hi,

I got problem with autoreply email - when I save autoreply message to virtualmin it creates .txt autoreply file in virtual domain correctly, but when this file contains html (I think it is html) encoded non english characters my users don't see it correctly in their email clinets (outlook).

Is there any way how to fix it?

Thanks as usual.

How to Set Webalizer Global Config to show "all urls" link

harumph... I solved this before, but somehow the Webalizer config file got zapped back to defaults and I did not document what I did... I can't find it anywhere today.

Under the panel "Top 30 URLs" you can set an option have a link appear "Show All URLs" that takes you to a page with the hits for every single served by the server for the entire month in a long list.

But, I can't find where to enable this?

Automatic index.html doesn't work but index.php does

If I make a directory and slap a index.html file in it, I'll just get a page not found when going to domain.com/directory/. The same goes for index.htm.

If I try the same thing with a index.php file (domain.com/directory/index.php) it works great.

It also works if I specify the full name, domain.com/directory/index.html.

I have checked and this is in the Virtualmin config: DirectoryIndex index.html index.htm index.php index.php4 index.php5

I also see the DirectoryIndex line in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/...
