Help! (Home for newbies)

I know this must be a TOTAL N00B question. But, after i ran the install.sh script, I tried to login via the web..but I don't know what the username/password should be? I looked through the documentation, but didn't see an answer. Thanks in advance for any help here.

how does virtualmin behave when I have setuped incremental backuping and deletition of folders?

Does it create full backup after deleting previous full backup (from which are incrementals created).

Simple example:

Monday - created first full backup of virtual server Tuesday - increment ... - increment ... - increment ... Sunday - deleted full backup from monday due to deletition setup Monday - ??? - will there be created incremental or full backup for virtual server?

I currently own 4 servers and I'm trying to setup a backup system where, for example:

• SRV 1 backs up its files on SRV 2
• SRV 2 backs up its files on SRV 3

and so on, basically every server backs up its files on at least one different server

The problem is that I have only found GUI options that let you create a "backup" user with a directory inside another user's home directory, so:

I've been using Virtualmin GPL for a month now and have been pretty happy with it. Unfortunately I hit a problem today where a domains email stopped getting sent. They were over their quota and so, after upping the quota, things started working again.

My problem is that I had though I set the quota to soft limits only. They also said they never received any warning that they hit their limit. So my question is...

How do I setup a soft quota for a domain so a user is warned when they go over it, but the domain continues to function?

I use $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] in php to query the database for allowed users into the admin area of several client websites. This works fine in the test environment (just ubuntu), but not in virtualmin. It seems as though 'PHP_AUTH_USER' is not being passed into the environment, even though phpinfo() shows that safe_mode is off.

Any clues as to what may be going on?

Hello guys, i'm back with my silly questions...

The problem i'm having now is that i followed the tutorial for creating automatically the zones in the slave server:

everything seems to work, when i add the Cluster slave in the master it reports and creates empty zone files in the slave... so far nice.

but when i look at the slave server the zones are empty and it reports: "last transferred: NEVER" :(

I tried deleting the slave and creating again the same result, i changed the IP on the module config of the master and nothing... i am at loss...

I am new to virtualmin but have been learning about its features on Centos 5.3 and have been very impressed.

I see that it can run on windows am curious about two things.

1. Can Virtualmin manage the asp/.net (IIS) environment in windows, and if so are there any limitations

2. If you have both a Linux server setup (for Linux only/PHP sites) and Windows server setup (for ASP sites), can virtualmin manage both through a single administration interface, or do you have independant admin console for each.

Hi, I'm using Virtualmin 3.71GPL version. I have a trouble with apache and uploading to web server. I have a page with a wordpress installed and when i try to upload image it is uploaded with apache:apache permissions, not user:user. Can someone help me with this problem?

P.S. I put a simple upload script in a directory ~/public_html/upload/ and tried to upload a file and the result was the same - the file was created with "apache:apache" user, not the "user:user". So i think it is a server-side problem.
