Got a problem not covered by the docs? Don't know where to look in the docs or in the forums? All of the other forums over your head? If you're new to Virtualmin, this is the place for you.

Adding Second Server

I already have one server managed by Virtualmin with the primary domain:

server1.mydomain.com

This server provides e-mail and web service for many customer domains as well.

I now want to add a second domain:

server2.mydomain.com

This server is to provide web service for different customers than server1 above. It will provide Master DNS service for its domains and slave DNS service for the domains on server1. It will also provide secondary mail service (that is, if server1 is MX 10, then server2 is MX 20).

Done with Webmin, loose step on Install Virtualmin + Usermin

Hi,

This is my very first time using unmanaged VPS. Ive got Centos 5.3 with OpenVZ. Im finish installing Webmin and a module APACHE, BIND, MySQL, and mail module (ive forgot) automatic from webmin module.

Basicly i need run website. And i thought Virtualmin is make more easy for management, isnt it ?

Importing a server, webmail not created.

Hi People.

I have, as I promised, been quiet for a while but sorry to say, I have come back to haunt you all again.

I have been slowly moving customers to the new server which has VM 3.73 Pro on CentOS 5.3.

The old server is Version 3.29 GPL on Fedora 5.

When moving servers to the new box I am backing up using the VM "Backup Virtual Server" button. I am copying that backup file to the new server and using the "Restore Backup" link in VM "Backup and Restore" menu.

How do I create subdomains..?

Do I need to manually create a subdomain by editing http.conf and dns files to made subdomains.. ?

But I would think that I can give a way to have a user or even root admin to make subdomains by the control panel.

So I know I can add a CNAME for blog.somesite.com from the "Services --> DNS Domains " ..

But is there a easy way to add the Apache part ? -- > Configure Website --> Aliases and Redirects ... But with out some information about how that page works I hate to just play to find out..

Thanks Don

CentOS 5 or Fedora 11?

I'd really like to use Virtualmin--I installed it on CentOS 5 and it worked great. However, when configuring everything else I need for my sites I found the repositories woefully out-of-date. For example, I couldn't find a current version of Imagemagick, which broke other libraries which depend on recent versions of it. I read the CentOS docs on repositories and tried the third-party repos, but couldn't find a recent version of IM. I know I could just download and install IM, but I'd really rather use yum.

Suexec not found

Hi!

I installed webmin + virtualmin on my server... Now I got the next message and I don't know what to do yet... I've been searching all day about this message but nothing:

Suexec is enabled in the default template, but the suexec command was not found on your system.

Can someone tell me what happen?

Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10 Codename: intrepid

THANKS

[SOLVED] Some domains not working

Hi again... seems not installing Virtualmin through install.sh isn't the best of choices (maybe the .deb should be improved? :))

I'm having a problem with 3 domains (2 domains and 1 alias), in a server with several domains.

I'm making this topic private because I'm going to name the domains here and I don't want people to try and abuse the server, sorry...

The domains in question are:

profissionaltrans.com statusabsolut.com statusabsolute.com (alias of statusabsolut.com)

Neither of these ping.
