I'm wondering if when I will change the OS identification in /etc/issue(issue.net) and start the automated installation script then will it install anyway?

In my case I use Debian Jessie testing which isn't supported yet by the virtualmin but if I would change my /etc/issue from:

Would it work for the installation process? Could I change it back after the installation? What consequences will be for such act?

Now I have created one virtual server named dl.mysite.com and its home directory is /home/dl.mysite.com I want a new virtual server named dl1.mysite.com and I want the home directory to be /home2/dl1.mysite.com . It means for the second virtual server , I need home directory to be /home2/dl1.mysite.com . because it has 4tb mounted on it . How can I change home directory from /home/dl1.mysite.com to /home2/dl1.mysite.com ?

Hi all

I'm getting this message when trying to create aby subdomains (php.ini cannot be copied etc.). All the failures are this:

Warning: Unknown: write failed: Disk quota exceeded (122) in Unknown on line 0

Can anyone please point me in the right direction with this? If this has already been answered I do apologise; I have searched but found no useful results.

I've set up Virtualmin on a different server with exactly the same setup and that's fine. so I'm totally in the dark as to what's happening here

Since shortly (3 days) I have been the target of a cracker. The attack uses up to now 3 known IP addresses: iptables -I INPUT -s 108.178.61.228 -j DROP #spam iptables -I INPUT -s 108.178.61.229 -j DROP #spam iptables -I INPUT -s 198.143.132.2 -J DROP #spam iptables -I INPUT -s 179.236.124.245 -J DROP #spam

The attacker sends e-mails from his server, uses my server as relay for my own domain and sends it out. I do not understand how the attacker can send e-mails without having to login over SMTP.

I've got a problem where I dont know what to choose. I have a system which has 768MB of RAM and a CPU which only has 1 core. Im at the MySQL configuration size. Which option am I supposed to choose? The one with 512MB? Or should I go lower. This system will also run teamspeak and other stuff.

I am trying to allow larger email sizes (20MB) and followed the advice given in the various threads here on the forum, including adjusting

Webmin -> Servers -> Postfix -> General Resource Control > "Max size of a message"

and also upped the file upload and http post PHP settings as suggested here

I'm receiving this error and I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. The system I'm using is an old computer I turned into a server. It's in my home. I was given instructions to paste dmesg | tail -30 this and give the output:

The system check was returning good and when I tried to update some packages I had to start webmin and now I have the following problem.

I hit the "Re-check and refresh configuration" button and receive: "..your system is not ready for use by Virtualmin"

I noticed that mailman error and went to "Bootup and Shutdown" like it said but receive the following error: "* Site list for mailman missing (looking for list named 'mailman') * Please create it; until then, mailman will refuse to start."
