Can I get some help with this? This message always appears when I check the server for errors, I'm new to virtualmin and linux servers in general. I'm using Debian,

What exactly am I supposed to change to fix this? When I do 'hostname' and 'hostname --fqdn' both show domain1.com which is what I can use as a hostname if I understand correctly.

I've tried changing various settings in DNS BIND, but I don't know what exactly to do. I don't want to delete something and mess the DNS settings up.

I just noticed that Usermin can't open a mail that is 6.8Mb in size. It looks like it comes with a large attachment and not inline images.

When click that message to open it Usermin will stay on 'Connecting' forever. Then, I guess related, ClamAV died and I had to restart it, or I tried to, but failed.

There were several view_mail.cgi processes that take lots of memory in /usr/libexec/usermin/mailbox/view_mail.cgi (no problem to start ClamAV after killing them though)

I have installed VirtualMin and installed 2 domains so far everything works great except i cannot get email to deliver to virtual users. I did change the username format to user@domain.tld and I can login to roundcube and I can send email but I cant get an email the error is:

I have domain.com on a VPS and mail.domain.com on another VPS and both have Virtualmin installed.

domain.com has website but no email enabled. mail.domain.com has email but no website enabled.

I created an A record for mail.domain.com and set it as the MX for domain.com

What else do I need to do so that user@mail.domain.com can send and receive mail as user@domain.com ?????

I'm running Virtualmin on 2 Centos 7 servers and both are producing the same backup file format.

I'm opening the backup file in 7zip on Windows 7.

How do I install Ghost https://ghost.org/download/ with Virtualmin, after creating a virtual server?

What are the steps?

Hi, I followed many tutorials but still cannot figure out something about my DNS and Mail servers.

First in registrar: My domain themecook.com comes from Namecheap, I registered two nameservers ns1.themecook.com and ns2.themecook.com Each of them is pointing to a different IP that I have set up with my VPS host on the same box though. Then I assigned themecook.com to the same ns1.themecook.com and ns2.themecook.com.

In Virtualmin: I created a new nameserver named themecook.com and applied it the default template

The system information page is the link at the bottom of the left panel that says system information.

On that page there are several headers depending on your settings. If you set it to show you will see a status header and this header contains status information for various processes running on the server.

For example mine shows that the Apache Web Server is UP, and that I have the option to stop it or restart it. (See attached picture)

I want to add a service to this list with the option to start, stop or restart as well as view it's status. How do I do this.

Since 2 days, I've got a too high load on the server, nearly 20 all the time although it used to be around 1 normally. It could be a result of me trying to understand another (unsolved) problem that I have, which I posted here: https://www.virtualmin.com/node/34327

Hi We have virtualmin 4.12 running with FCGI and php 5.44, and most of the sites are joomla.

We have the issue where any php scripts running on virtual servers (all configured with fcgi) writing files as www-data - which causes issues with automagic updates and so forth

I have googled and have tried all the solutions, editing php5.conf and php5_cgi.conf addhandler lines.

Can anyone give me any idea where else to look?

It's becoming quite an issue.
