I have a clean install of Ubuntu server 14.04 but get an error when trying to enable spamassassin. I have installed 3 times to make sure its nothing i am doing. I do the install then upgrade and dist-upgrade so i know i have a fully up to date system then install virtualmin. when you install virtualmin you see 1 error :- no mirror data available for channel updates.spamassassin.org channel: MIRRORED.BY file URL was not in DNS, channel failed when you try to start spamassassin from virtualmin you get:-

Hi. I'm using XEN Cloudming from while but I didn't find any option to prevent IP spoofing like KVM Cloudmin. I'll be really happy for any suggestion to prevent my XEN users from IP spoofing.

I want to set up Virtualmin as my panel, but I want the host address to be subdomain.domain.com...

Do I simply set the host name as subdomain.domain.com, then create virtual server domain.com, then create subdomain.domain.com?

Would that actually work?

If not, I'm not sure how to do it, so any instructions would be appreciated!

I find myself in a pinch, I tried, and tried, and tried, but I can't understand why virtualmin is causing me an issue. Could I humbly ask for help, please ?

Some of my websites have a "www" problem. If I don't manually add "www." in the beginning of their hyperlink, what will be loaded, in the browser of the visitors, will be the /public_html/index.html file of ANOTHER DOMAIN hosted on my server and also managed by virtualmin.

Bit of backgorund:

Having got webmin/virtualmin working on a new vps, and my website all up and running I now want to decide on a backup/migrate strategy. I reckon a full file / down backup will not be much use. I already have a vps image on my vps host. I could restore that if the vps dies. My websites already backup their databases and files. But what happens if the vps company goes out of business. The image I've taken is no use as that's gone too. I'd need to start from a new OS and rebuild so basically a migration.

Hi, I'm using Virtualmin for years, and now I have a problem.

When I login in a normal virtual domain account, The link Virtualmin->Services->Mailing Lists is not shown. The link is shown when I login in a root account and any operation is worked.

I directly access to https://*******:10000/virtualmin-mailman/ in a normal virtual domain account, so the message is shown as follows:

Access denied : User **** is not allowed to use the Virtualmin Mailman Mailing Lists module I definitely checked "Allow Mailman mailing lists?" feature so it doesn't make sense.

I am using postfix.

After logging in webmin, postfix, user mailboxes...

the addressbar shows somethig like
: /mailboxes/list_mail.cgi?user=

How can I view more than 20 emails per page?

I am using a dedicated server and can edit any files if I need to.

I am not using anything like squirrelmail / horde etc...

Hello new user to VirtualMin here.

I have a ubuntu VPS that I am working on setting up 2 different domain/websites on. Both are intended to be eCommerce websites. Let's call them siteA.com, and siteB.net.

First (possible) issue is when I install virtualmin from the auto install script, it asks for a host name, I'm not sure what to put in this because my host is an IP, and that doesn't seem to work. So I have been using a temporary domain that is unrelated just to get virtualmin to install.

I'm new to Virtualmin and I've tried to migrate a bunch of sites using CPanel backups. Most of the primary domains have transferred over without a hitch - but none of my subdomains are working. I understand that Virtualmin uses sub servers so I tried converting one of the problem sub domains to a sub server (was this the right thing to do?) - but that didn't work.

I'm just getting server 500 errors if I try to access any of the sub domains in a browser. Any suggestions or pointers toward something useful would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
