Cannot Access Server After Creating Virtualmin Server

Hi everyone,

I have been messing around with Virtualmin over the last couple of day, both on a CentOS 6.5 and 7 system. However, I have come across the following problem.

When I create a Virtualmin server, it does not show up when I list the servers directly after creating it. And then the next time I load the page, I am unable to access the Virtualmin/Webmin control panel anymore. I simply get a "This webpage is not available" error. This has happened twice in a row now on separate servers.

Failed to create virtual server : The DNS domain example.com is already hosted by your DNS server

I tried to create a new Virtual Server using example.com and I receive the following error "Failed to create virtual server : The DNS domain example.com is already hosted by your DNS server". The example folder is created under /home/example but does not show up of the virtual servers to select.

Understanding Virtual/Web min differences

Obviously, I am not a strong Linux type person. We have a current system under Ubuntu 10 LTS, which runs Webmin, and I have used that to create a couple of small virtual webservers. Things seem to be working fine, with the installs created in var/www/html for the base server, and then other folders in var/www/htmlserverA, var/www/htmlserverB etc.

We are in the process of changing over to a new ISP, with a fresh install of the Ubuntu 10 LTS software.

email not working

My emails are not working. I am self hosting using Ubuntu 14.04. My server has a FQDN. I have multiple virtual servers. My FQDN was the same as one of my virtual servers, but I got a new one and still my emails are not working. Mail for domain is enabled. My second question concerns Post-Installation Wizard. what am I supposed to put in the Primary nameserver box? Do I put mt FQDN? What about in the secondary box? I am also using freedns.afraid.org and my domains are all pointing in the right direction.

Thanks Eddie

Security Certificates - I may have goofed when updating

All,

My VPS just celebrated its first birthday. Instead of presents, it received an expired security certificate. When I revisited StartSSL, I may have goofed when updating and am not sure how to proceed.

The mistake I made was that I did not use a private key from my server to create the new certificates. Instead, I entered a 'password'. (This is what happens when you do something only once a year without having taken notes from the previous year...)

Cannot navigate to http://IP/~home/domain

Hi

I have a virtual server as domain.com Domain.com expired. The document root is /home/domain/public_html So now I want to access it via IP on browser and ended up trying this URL: http://IP/~home/domain

It doesnt show anything. I changed the Default Server document root to this directory so the IP makes this the home, except the page is empty.

Any help please?
