Help! (Home for newbies)

I've been banging my head on this all day. I want to give an existing user website FTP access. Not create a new one. The best I've figured out is changing their home directory, but that screws up their email – and I'd really like to only need to give one login (that works for both email & FTP). But I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this.

I currently have my VPS set up to take a username and password each time I SSH into it from Putty. However, I want to make it a bit more secure and use keys for SSH logins. Before I set that up, I'm wondering if switching to keys for SSH will cause any problems with accessing Webmin/Virtualmin from my browser? I use a username/password combo to access it at the moment. Does switching to key-based access for SSH change how I use the username/password login method for Webmin/Virtualmin?

I am tired of the deluge of spam I get daily, so I decided to give SpamAssassin a whirl. From VirtualMin->System Settings->Features and Plugins, I checked the boxes for both Spam filtering and Virus filtering. After this, to be 'safe', I rebooted the server.

I have several emails saying this same thing, different PIDs. What's causing this?

I get this when I list out the System Configuration. Just wondering why I get it because my site works fine.

Your system's primary IP address appears to have changed from 127.0.0.2 to 167.88.120.164. Virtual servers using the old address may be unreachable or serve the wrong web content.

Is this a non-issue?

I'm attempting to replace my cPanel/WHM account with Virtualmin on a Digital Ocean droplet. I'm using a new domain name for the "main" domain, what was called the host on WHM. That is globo-chem.net

The idea is to set up vanity nameservers for globo-chem.net, and have all domains hosted in Virtualmin just set ns1, ns2, ns3.globo-chem.net at the registrar, like I was doing in the WHM account.

I created the Digital Ocean droplet with host name globo-chem.net.

I created a virtual server for globo-chem.net and it seems to be working fine.

Hi, We have a customer who is inheriting a site that uses AJAX and wants to migrate it onto our system. We have no experience of AJAX and we are wondering whether we need to add functionality to Virtualmin to allow AJAX to run on a website or not? If we do need to add functionality, where can we find it please? Alternatively, perhaps Virtualmin just doesn't support AJAX. That would be sad, but it would be good to know either way. I can find odd AJAX references in the forums, but nothing that I understand clearly. Thanks in advance.

I've restored a virtualmin backup of a domain to a gpl virtualmin on ubuntu 14.04. I see that the mailman archive files are there and when I tried to apt-get install mailman I was told it was already installed. I normally expect to find it through webmin | servers | virtualmin mailman mailing lists but that last entry isn't under servers.

Has it moved? do I need to enable it?
