When I try to backup virtualmin gives me error.

Error - Perl execution failed

Backup failed - try again to a file on the server to see the full error message at /usr/libexec/webmin/web-lib-funcs.pl line 1397.

Also I don't see any updates for weeks. For example didn't get update to virtualmin 4.13. I think something's broken?

Hi! I try to import:

FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201501301837.iso

http://www.freenas.org/download-freenas-release.html

But i get this error:

Failed to import image : Image file does not appear to be an ISO 9660 CD - format was detected as x86 boot sector

Today i had an update for Virtualmin and after that Virtualmin/Webmin is not able to autostart after server reboot. If i remember correctly last updates were MySQL database server, disk filesystems and not sure if was one more.
From miniserv.log:

I am building a server config in Ansible to help provision a server in a repeatable manner. I have been able to find most things I need in the config files. One thing I want to do is update all modules. Is there a way to do this from the command line. Virtualmin has a command line tool. I can't find one for Webmin.

So I am using linode.com and could duplicate server configuration and files to another linode server.

I changed the domain name in virtualmin, however I can't find a place to change the IP address. I changed all the IP addresses in: BIND DNS Server

This topic https://www.virtualmin.com/node/21025 says that I should look into Webmin -> Networking -> Network Interfaces. but I don't have that option.

Is it because I am using a free version of it?

I'm having to remove a line from the DNS zone of each new account I create. The line is simply this:

ns1.bailtree.co.uk

Its causing BIND to stop working :( I was wondering if the problem lies in my server template.. The custom settings i have in the server template are:

BIND DNS records for new domains: ns1.bailtree.co.uk

Additional manually configured nameservers: ns2.bailtree.co.uk

Master DNS server hostname: ns1.bailtree.co.uk

Hello, I have just migrated my virtualmin setup from Ubuntu 12.04 to CentOS 7 in a vmware environment by simply creating a server ackup and then restoring onto fresh install of CentOS 7.

Everything is working fine so far except quotas. If I goto Webmin>>System>>Disk Quotas, under "Action" it states "Can only enable at mount"

While checking out /var/log/secure, I noticed that a particular IP address has been repeatedly trying to gain access to my system. The log is full of messages of the type:

Jan 25 23:53:50 admin sshd[27108]: refused connect from BAD.IP.ADD.RESS (BAD.IP.ADD.RESS)

In an attempt to make my server more secure, I did the following:

iptables -A INPUT -s BAD.IP.ADD.RESS -j DROP /sbin/service iptables save

When I did a iptables -L, the system reported:

DROP all -- BAD.IP.ADD.RESS anywhere

Hello, Before I continue with the questions I'd like to say how pleased I am with Webmin/Virtualmin. For a long time I refused the idea to try Webmin/Virtualmin (without good reason) until one day I realized that I had enough of shiny icons and scripts full of bloatware. I must say more I use your CP more I like it, now back to my few questions.
