nameserver help

I've setup virtualmin before and never had an issue like this.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference but this time I setup a new server and restored the virtual servers from another server.

My issue is I'm not able to resolve my nameservers. They have been setup at my registrar but not correctly on my server.

Here are the results of intoDNS

How to use private IP for outgoing email (including PHP...)

Hi guys

I've about 100 domains and 6 private IP on my server. Some clients need to send (small) newsletter from this server. In order to avoid to fail into SPAM folder I've configured their SPF record with their own private IP, simplify like that :

IN "v=spf1 a mx ~all"

My problem is that all outgoing email (from PHP) are sent by system's default IP address, which isn't mentioned in SPF....

So email's header :

Is there a way to give Virtual Server Administrator the same rights as root (in virtualmin and webmin)

Hi there,

I created a Virtual Server for my domain with an associated administration user that is perfect for administrating my domain, but when I need to make modification on the system through webmin or modifications on the Virtual Servers (create, delete....) I can't do it with my domain administration user, I have to log on webmin/virtualmin using root to be able to do all these modifications.

So I'm wondering wether it's possible or not to make a virtual server administrator able to do everything in webmin/virtualmin, exactly as root is able to do.

I broke apache2.. /etc/apache2/apache2.conf file

I broke apache2.. /etc/apache2/apache2.conf file

I upgraded php5 and it asked me to override a config file in apache and I stupidly said yes, so it has overridden a file. I tried to repair it, but its not working.

I had an error:

The apache2 configtest failed. Output of config test was: apache2: Syntax error on line 214 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Could not open configuration file /etc/apache2/httpd.conf: No such file or directory

so I did this: sudo touch /etc/apache2/httpd.conf

Confused about Users

We are running Virtualmin Pro. We have been asked by a customer to add a database to their site and add a new user who should have access just to that new database but not to the other databases on the site.

We have never been asked for a second user before, so this is all news to us! So I created the new database and created the new user. I went to 'Other User Permissions' when setting up the new user and granted them access to the new database and then created the user.

spammers add scripts to my site to send spam

Hi,

i know that spammers every so often create a few php scripts on my server, and then use them to send spam from my server.

I don't know yet how they do it, as in, what exactly gives them access to be able to write scripts to my server.

The last time they tried, they put these php scripts on the server:
