I have this process that uses a lot of cpu and this make my server very slower!!

I have both package-updates and security-updates set to check daily and just notify. But the updates are getting installed as they come up (I don't get a notification email that updates need to be installed, instead the updates get installed and I get notified of checksum changes by OSSEC.

I've tried deleting the cron jobs and re-creating them by setting to "just notify again". The cron jobs are there "/etc/webmin/package-updates/update.pl" and "/etc/webmin/security-updates/update.pl"

The filemanager has suddenly developed a problem it pops up a window with html and the error at the top is "failed to get language list"

It appears that is has something to do with authentication, the html contains a form stating that you need to login on the webmin server

How do I fix this?

I installed webmin in ubuntu 13.10 using apt-get install webmin, It installed and started fine but when i restart my machine it does not start. There is a webmin script in init.d folder and if i do "service webmin start" it starts and works fine with no errors, it just wont autostart on reboot. Also the start on boot setting in webmin settings is ON...Any help would be great...thanks

I am not able to create any virtual srevers in fresh webmin + apache installation. Getting the below errors when I try to add a domain :

Failed to create virtual server : The new virtual server was added to /etc/apache2/sites-available/****.com.conf, but this file is not used by Apache. Check the module configuration and make sure the 'File or directory to add virtual servers to' is correct.

Following are enabled in apache2.conf:

IncludeOptional conf-enabled/*.conf

I'm new to Linux administration, and learning the curve. I checked but im not clear so asking here how to enable mod_gzip for individual/specific Virtual servers hosted on my server.

Im not sure If i saw that setting somewhere, not able to find it in the gui.

I've a problem with my vps, i've installed cent0s + webmin and virtualmin.

All seem to be corrected installed, and works.

But when I create a new virtual server, in etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf there's a problem

NameVirtualHost 85.94.198.XXX:80 NameVirtualHost [85.94.198.XXX]:80 <----------------------problem

there's a duplicate entry of my ip, and i must correct manually to work correctly.

Every time i create a new virtual servers, overwrite the httpd.conf and i must correct this

Can anyone give me some pointers, cant create tables via webmin error I get on any table name is similar to below.

Hai, I would like to ask about how to upgrade mysql from 5.1 to 5.5 in webmin? I dont want to make any mistake for upgrading database, so I need some tutorials or suggestion before I start to upgrade mySQL. :)

Hi I have just completed an install of virtualmin all ok but i get the following error when looking at Cron Daemon emails in roots email all other emails seem to be ok. Any idea what may fix this?
