REAL Startup Newbie q's PART 2
Hi folks, I will eventually get all this into a REAL Newby help doc. When I get it all together.
Got a problem not covered by the docs? Don't know where to look in the docs or in the forums? All of the other forums over your head? If you're new to Virtualmin, this is the place for you.
Hi folks, I will eventually get all this into a REAL Newby help doc. When I get it all together.
Hello! I am using Fedora Core 4 x86_64, fully updated. I upgraded webmin to the most recent version, installed the most recent version of virtualmin from the webmin modules box, and get the following error upon testing the virtualmin install:
I can´t for my life fix following error:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <info@reimers.se> (reason: 553 5.1.8[webmin@kundserver.www1>... Domain of sender address webmin@kundserver.www1 does not exist)
The computername of my server are "kundserver.www1".
I'm a newbis, and lerning all the time, but rigt now i'm lost ;-)
Can Virtualmin run with Slackware v 10.2 Setup options don't seem to include slackware distribution. ??? What next?
What a product set! Trying to escape my limited experience with WHM/CPanel I found a good, inexpensive Box supplier, but with no Management support. They offered to start me off with a FREE package: WebMin.
THEN I discovered Virtualmin! Even got a free version of it, virtually autoinstalled! SO my very newbie excited queries:
A list of differences between GPL and Pro?
The entry level of Pro says 10 Domains for $69. Does this mean 10 Resellers Domains, able to setup end users, or literally only applicable to using it for 10 of my Domain Names?
Hi all, I installed Virtualmin into Webmin on a FreeBSD6.0 box which already has a number of virtual sites installed and successfully running. My question is how can I make Virtualmin see the existing virtual sites? Is this even possible? Regards & TIA, -Colin
Hi,
I'm running Suse Linux Enterprise Server, i want to buy a 50-domain license to test Virtualmin on my machine. Can anyone please tell me which version of Virtualmin i need to buy i.e. which core.
:-) thanks alot and greetings from The Netherlands,
Lex
Here's the problem (names aren't real)...
I've got a host system named xyzzy.com
I create a virtual domain named plover.com
If a plover.com user trys to send mail through SquirrelMail, the mail goes out as user@xyzzy.com instead of user@plover.com as I'd like it to.
I realize I could have each user change the "from" address in their profiles, but I'd like to have this set up automatically.
Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks George
Hi
I've seen that a never Version of Virtualmin is available, but webmin does not update it. How can I update it manually (without loosing data)?
thanks,
Thomas
Hi All.
I've got my server set for name-based virtual hosting.
What I'm after is a directive "VirtualHost *:80" for each new site created. I can't seem to configure Virtualmin to do this - I always get a 4-octet IP address.
It appears there is a way to get the "*" there - I had a read-through of the code, but my perl is pretty rubbish so I couldn't work out how to do it.
Any tips?
Thanks!
Vic.
