I have F.Core 4 with webmin + wirtualmin. Almost all seems really sweet.

Issue #1 : Create new virtual host and can not loginto postgresql databases. Server is running etc

Issue #2 : Apache nolonger picks up index.html created in doc root. For main domain or either subdomain

If I enter demo.mydomain.cx/index.htm it is found ok

Altogether this is a really neat piece of work. Have looked at a few setups and this seems most convenient.

after our problem with courier we replaced the courier pop/imap with the dovecot pop3/imap4-Server.

It runs without problems.

But from the first moment, we have the following problem:

The emails are delivered to "user.domain@localhost.localdomain" or (when we delete $myorigin" in main.cf) to "user.domain@xx.xx.xxx.xx.blue.kundenserver.de"

Please help me to set AllowOverride All in Directory directive using webmin interface.

I'm in the process of developing some new websites that will eventually require me to purchase a dedicated server to run those sites. I want to use Apache 2.0 with PHP 5 and MySQL 5.

My current dev hosting uses CPanel and CPanel doesn't support these newer versions of the software I want to install and run.

My questions are:

1. Can I manage a dedicated server using VirtualMin Pro and install Apache 2.0, PHP 5, and MySQL 5? That is, is VM compatible with the latest versions of these packages?

Im finally moving to Linux. :) Installed Mandrake 10.1 using KDE desktop. I'm having a problem with my NVIDIA drivers. I got the latest from Nvidia but i cant seem to install it. Can anyone help me with this or point me to a "how-to" please. I keep getting "command not found" and invalid owner messages.

It's been a very long time since command line unix, so consider me a rank newbie.

we have installed Virtualmin on a Debian Sarge machine. It seems the system works fine.

Only one problem ;-)

Wenn we try to connect to the Courier pop3/imap4-Server we see this error:

'-ERR Maildir: No such file or directory', Port: 110, Secure (SSL): Nein, Serverfehler: 0x800CCC90, Fehlernummer: 0x800CCC92

Virtualmin stores the mail under /var/mail/user.domain and /home/mail/user.domain (link?)

There are directories under "/home/domain/mailboxes/user.domain" too - but there are no files inside.

When trying sftp, I get 'write error'.

Any other ftp variant fails.

How can I login? (Yes, all of these users have ftp access on)

In the middle of migrating from a CPanel to Vmin and the DNS propagation has gone somewhere else ....... I am trying to find out how to "simply" give the Users a way to send and get at their mail and Websites during the event.

Can't for the life of me find out how! In CPanel prior to propagation you simply address your Website as: IP/~username and you are in.

In the migration, everything got altered - user names and domain identity: in CPanel it is username@domain.com by default.

I have web server and mail server (running Qmail) separated, for reliability reason.

Is there any way to set up a virtual domain to be configured so as to support that?

Okay, I created a virtual domain.

I created an admin user that is also a 'website admin user'

Upon going to that URL, and trying to log in to the admin interface, it is impossible, no matter what variant of the login I use.

if the domain is: domain.com and the admin user is: admin and the assigned login is: admin.domain

I am unable to get the user legitimately recognized, no matter what login format I use:

admin admin.domain admin@domain.com admin.domain.com

Whatever?
