Help! (Home for newbies)

I'm a newbie to webmin and and virtualmin and used the flash walkthrough guide on the homepage to add my domain using virtualmin. It all went well and I uploaded my index.html file to the user's public_html directory that was automatically created. I have the domain set up to point to the right DNS but I'm just getting a "Could not locate remote server" error message when I try to access my domain, http://www.afltalk.net. Please can you help, I really desperately need to get the site up.

Can anyone describe the correct process for installing a porper ssl cert for webmin. I've tried creating a new key using openssl, making a csr and then got a test cert from a provider, but when i point webmin at that key and cert file the ssl just breaks.

I have a Gentoo box eagerly awaiting his Virtualmin. He nags me every day because he wants to get to the datacenter and work for his living, and just hates sitting around doing nothing and gathering dust in my office every day. :)

Hi. Im using the GPL version of Virtualmin (to assess the suitability of the final product) but im having a major problem when I try to add a virtual server to a parent domain (as a non-root user).

Virtualmin simply prints "Failed to create virtual server : Missing or invalid IP address" and hangs.

I initially attributed this to bind, but having checked my config, tried Virtualmin without BIND and even tried PowerDNS to no avail.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

I just moved from a shared to a dedicated. Setting up VirtaulWin required fixing a few things, but now I'm headed in the right direction.

I'm trying to move things from the old host to the new one. I was given a single IP at first which they set up one domain on, and I've just added a second domain to it.

Now I'm ready to start moving my 'big' site, and they gave me two additional IP's which I get with my plan. They made some config changes and restarted my box and now these IP's are 'available to me.'

I was able to install phpMyAdmin 2.7.0-pl2 using the Install Script function on one of my domains. It downloaded correctly, but when I tried to get to it for the first time it gave me the following error:

"phpMyAdmin - Error

Cannot load mysql extension. Please check your PHP configuration. - Documentation"

I looked at the doc. and it said I probably needed to install the "PHP-MySQL Package." I have a few questions:

What is this, where can I get it and will this make phpmyadmin work?

the domain level rc file is being read... but user files are not being read..

When trying to send an email to a mailman list, postfix prints out this in logs... (my company politics doesn´t want to publish names :( )

Hi guys Just wondered if there was a guide for setting up smtps (Secure mail relaying). Basically i would like users to be able to send there emails via there account on the Virtualmin server but obviously dont want to open up an open relay for all spammers to have a field day with.

Has anyone got it working? Is it hard to setup?

Hi guys I have just moved a customer off my old 32bit box and onto my shiney new Virtualmin pro box (64bit) and all seemed to be going well. He used some image tool called gd and on the new box php doesnt seem to know about it. Is there any way i can get it working for him?

gd is installed but it is in the lib64 folder rather than the lib folder. Any ideas?
