Help! (Home for newbies)

When I create a new virtual server, no files get created in the /home directory. How do I troubleshoot this? I upgraded to Virtualmin Pro, I'm not sure if it's related to this..

i was wondering if there is a way to change the default username from joe.domainname to his email (joe@domainname.com)...if there were a way so that when i created new users or new virtual servers and it put the username in the format i prefer, that would be best...

im completely new to the virtualmin realm..and linux for that matter...but so far i love the product...

Firstly, I apologise for my common spelling errors, I still work :)

Let me explain briefly:

I buy a few days ago a license Virtualmin PRO.

My server running Ubuntu LTS, I try installing with the automatic file install.sh.

However, I realized that installing install.sh entire architecture LAMP (Linux Apache php mysql).

/usr/bin/perl /usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/spamclear.pl

service started from cron around midnight everyday is eating almost all RAM ... 1010.13 MB total / 148.70 MB free

Is there a way to fix this problem ?

The status of your system is being checked to ensure that all enabled features are available, that the mail server is properly configured, and that quotas are active ..

  Mail server Sendmail is installed and configured.

  Apache is installed.

  Webalizer does not appear to be installed on your system, or has not yet been set up properly in Webmin's Webalizer Logfile Analysis module. If your system does not use Webalizer, it should be disabled in Virtualmin's module configuration page.

.. your system is not ready for use by Virtualmin.

I have several mailbox users getting errors logging into Squirrelmail because it thinks they are over their quota...

On that list... here's a few example of what I mean... I'll use matt and teddy... they use outlook and it deletes all their mail off the server so they don't even use much of any space at all...

The Virtualmin repos only list php 5.1.6.

Me again =). When deleting a virtual server, the Apache virtual host files are not deleted, ie, /etc/apache2/sites-available/foobar.conf is not removed.

Any help on this would be great (last issue I have! ... hopefully)

I might have overlooked it, but is there a way to run different php 5 version as fcgi on a server? How can this be done with virtualmin?

I had some installations on my last server that would need 5.1.x not 5.2. If I'm understanding correctly, using php as fcgi should allow this.

Of course each vhost can only support one version of php 5.

All virtual servers are created correctly, but I can not accederci via http not find them can see only one virtual server what should I do?

Resolved The problem was not the file server but the hosts PC because that is where the network is the server had to add the items reported in the file server .... I lost a week for nothing<br><br>Post edited by: zonekjdx, at: 2008/03/03 04:20
