Help! (Home for newbies)

When I installed virtualmin on my server, I apparently accidently typed .com onto my hostname when I wasn't supposed to. My server's hostname is not showing as server1.mydomain.com.com. I changed the hostname using the terminal and the following script: [code:1]echo server1.mydomain.com > /etc/hostname[/code:1] This has corrected the domain name on my server status page, but all of my DNS entries are still showing server1.mydomain.com.com.

Does anyone know how to configure Clamav on Webmin/Virtualmin? In the software manager (CentOS 5) I can see clamav-server is installed, also I did "locate clamd" and it is installed in the system. I go in Webalizer Logfile Analysis and saw that I have only this: Log File Type Size Scheduled? Report / Var / log / squid / access.log Squid No. 20 bytes Quindo and select Add in a new log file for analysis. To create a log file apache Base but logfile directory path that must include?

My policyd broke after upgrading from 3.52GPL to Pro.

Looks like main.cf got modified somehow, and check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:10031 was removed or deleted.

Anyone else seeing that?

I was looking for a way to back up directly to S3 and I just found out that this feature is already built in Virtualmin.

Is this feature only for Virtualmin Pro users? I use the GPL version, I cannot find a menu for S3 settings and I only have FTP and SSH in the back up options.

If it is also available for GPL users, could anyone please tell me how to enable it? Thank you.

I installed the newest versions of webmin / virtualmin on a fresh Debian system and there appears to be a whole host of 'unconfigured' bits in comparison to the previous versions. Anyway I got everything up and running eventually.

DNS Postfix Disk Quotas ProFTPd etc....

The only problem I'm left with is getting the DNS server addition of "127.0.0.1" to stay permanent.

On reboot it's missing from the DNS servers list and I have to add it again, then restart bind.

Please help. I have purchased the Pro version (after testing the GPL version and on Eric at OpenThought.org's recommendation). The upgrade seemed to go ok...no errors or glitches. But my install still reports the GPL license, and still only has the GPL features. When I check on my license, under the re-check license link, I get a file not found error. What did I do wrong? Thanks.

Ok now I have rebuilt the installation on another PC and are starting point and I installed virtualmin webmin and click on List Virtual Servers And I said: The status of your system is being checked to ensure that all enabled features are available, that the mail server is properly configured, and that quotas are active ..

When I receive email from webmin or virtualmin I got only "webmin@" in "From: " field.

Does anybody know where this can be configured (as I'd like to parse it by mail filters).
