help apache FTP server failed

Hi I have a problem that I can not understand how one can resolve, and I hope that someone can help me. I changed ip server because I have a new connection now I have set up your connection and can reach the panel webmin but can not start because I apache returns this error:

  • Starting web server apache2 apache2: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for server apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName ...fail!

ProFTPD updated Server tells me so

Failed to start FTP server :

php5.fcgi

All of my domains are running in fcgi mode. There is a bug or error whenever I create a new domain. The php5.fcgi file in the newly created domains always looks like:

!/bin/sh

PHPRC=$PWD/../etc/php5 export PHPRC umask 022 PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=4 export PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN exec /usr/bin/php

It should say exec /usr/bin/php5-cgi.

Until now it has been no problem to just go in and edit the file. With the newest vm update, it will no longer allow me to edit the file, even as root. It says permission denied.

Problem:Mail not being sent and not being received

I have been trying to send and receive mail, but I simply can't.

I try to send an email through usermin from one user to an account at hotmail. The mail does not get there. I then try to send a mail from that hotmail account to my user at the server, but I get a mail informing "User unknown in virtual alias table" and that the mail was not delivered...

But the user does exist, I can see it in the mail users of virtualmin and I can login with that user at usermin...

Any clues on why this happens? Or where I should look?

thank you

Error when try in to deliver to some of my domains

Hi,

I am running the latest virtualmin pro on a debian etch vps with 400mb of RAm

I get this error from procmail regularly

procmail: Timeout, terminating "/etc/webmin/virtual-server/clam-wrapper.pl" procmail: Program failure (-15) of "/etc/webmin/virtual-server/clam-wrapper.pl"

I there a way i can fault find this?

Oh and I have turned off antivirus and antispam on all the domains as I use my own machine

Thanks

Virtual Domain Sub-Domain

Hi

Please could someone point me the direction of some documentation and 'how-to's' regarding sub-domains and users.

I think I've searched through the virtualmin forums and docs but cant find anything.

All I'm trying to do is create and account under a fqdn virtual server which has ssh ftp access to their public_html folder.

for example

sub-domain is baldrick2.virtualmin.com where virtualmin.com is the virtual server.

Virtualmin Login from off network

For some reason when I am not on the same network as my server, I can not login to Virtualmin. When I try to access Virtualmin (https://server1.mydomain.com:10000), my browser just spins it's wheels and then times out. However, I am able to access Usermin (https://server1.mydomain.com:20000) just fine. When I am on the same network as my server, I can login to either.

Is there a setting in Virtualmin which would cause this?

IPTables

Hi

I'm very nervous about posting this, so if I've been an absolute dummy please be gentle!

Running Centos5.1. Clean install this weekend (low level format etc), used the same Centos DVD that I've used before, with which there were no probs with the Vitualmin GPL install.sh script (brilliant btw!). CentOS installed in linux text mode with just the 'Server' option starred (have to use the acpi=off switch as well otherwise it just hangs).

I can wget the install script, run it just fine from either putty or console (2 comps). No errors during the install.

Virtualmin Installation issue

Just purchase a copy of Virtualmin for Fedora Core 7 from virtualmin site. I used the wget link that was sent to me with the license infor and installed virtualmin. 1. I logged in to Webadmin and I don't see a virtualmin panel 2. I went to Virtualmin Virtual Servers section and ran the re-check and refresh config and received the following error

BIND DNS server is installed, and the system is configured to use it.

A problem was found with your Postfix virtual maps : No map sources were found in the Postfix configuration
