Help! (Home for newbies)

I am having trouble getting ftp to work.

I am using the virtualmin pro AMI on a small instance with one domain and one ip address. I can access the site via the ip address or the funky aws domain for now.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get ftp connected. My main user is set up as an ftp user and I have double checked the userid and password.

Something tells me that there is something I need to do with the dns or ip address settings but I haven't been able to figure it out.

Is there a way to integrate vlogger with virtualmin?

I have vlogger setup and working and I know I could change the default template for apache to remove the CustomLog line so vlogger would process the access logs for the domains, but I'm not sure what changes to make on the user side of things to give them access to logs.

Since vlogger puts each hosts access log into a directory based on the name of the virtual host, I need to somehow add references to those log files of the directory containing them to the users accounts.

How do create a mailman maillist for virtualmin pro.

I'm getting two error's at boot up. that no mail list has been created.

I have a new install with debain 4/r7 updates

And can't create virtual domain due to mailman maillist error's.

I need this list to work on the main server and all virtual servers

PS what is the command to create a mailman list from the command prompt as root user that will work for main server and virtual domains

I have had websites hosted on different hosts and now I am trying out Virtualmin.I have a very basic question about DNS.

I'm testing out virtualmin for a new hosting project I'm starting and I can't figure out how to remove some of the modules from a users virtualmin login.

The two things I'm trying to remove is the Telnet\SSH module and the Scheduler Cron module.

I know that I can go to each users account in Webmin Users when logged in as an administrator and uncheck the module I don't want them to have access to, but clicking on the user brings up the warning about editing a Virtualmin created user account.

What is the preferred or recommended way to do this?

I am receiving the following error from the httpd log:

[error] (9)Bad file descriptor: apr_socket_accept: (client socket)

Executing apachectl configtest gives:

[Thu Feb 19 12:45:47 2009] [error] VirtualHost default:443 -- mixing * ports and non-* ports with a NameVirtualHost address is not supported, proceeding with undefined results Syntax OK

I also cannot access port 80 and get a Forbidden error. Seems like I need to correct the default port from 443 to 80.

I have a Centos 5.2 server and yesterday I bought a SSL cert from Godaddy and installed it based on some instructions on this forum. It worked fine... no issues. However today I noticed that when I go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin or https://localhost/phpmyadmin I get a 404 error. I think is due to the SSL I added, since it was working before I did that. Can you point me in the right direction for troubleshooting? I appreciate it.

Is it safe to disable the following php functions as they are major security holes and I don't want to break webmin:

Hi there, we have 100 Mbit FiOS at work and my boss just gave me ok to set up a server for me and some other coworkers who would like to host our blogs there and what not. I have some experience with webmin but none with virtualmin. Here's the layout:

I am getting the following error:

Starting Clam AntiVirus Daemon: ERROR: Can't get information about user clamav. [FAILED]

I have checked users and groups and there is no clamav. How do I do this from the control panel in terms of the right options. Easy enough to create a new group and user for clamav but there are a number of options when creating a user or group such as who belongs to the group and I am uncertain what to do.
