Assume that I own www.boats.com (wish I did !).
I want to set up: new-fishing.boats.com and used-fishing.boats.com
This is good for se search results.
How do I set this up ?

Having researched and compared available solutions for hosting guis', we have been really impressed with the advanced power of virtualmin/webmin combination.
One thing which was lacking(or maybe I missed it) is the ability for one user to control/administer all virtual servers(domains). As of now with virtualmin, each new virtual server gets it's own user with restricted access to directories/mysql db/ftp, etc. Is there a way to make one user the super admin for a particular number of virtual servers.
So, confused about this. I thought alias servers merely were for, well, just that, an alias of an existing domain. But then I saw the option to "setup website for domain".
Wouldn't this make it more like what is currently called a subdomain? Does it count against the license limit?
Why is that option there? To replace subdomains perhaps?

I always get this error message when I'm trying to migrate a Plesk 8.6 Backup:
Downloading migration file from /predrag on FTP server backup.serverkompetenz.de .. .. downloaded 40.42 MB
Validating migration file .. .. validation failed : Could not work out domain name from backup
That was a backup of the reseller, with all his settings and all of his domains.
When I'm trying to migrate a direct backup of 1 Domain, all files are on the Server, but I don't have any connections to Mysql.

Can't view web content of newly created virtual servers.
I have a clean install My OS debian 4r7 and Virtualmin Pro.
Every thing installed with no error's
I created 3 virtual domain.
Also uploaded content/web sites to domains
When the web sites load in web browser this ie what is displayed
A blank page with it works
It works!
And the address bar have this apache2-default
I am getting quite a lot of these in my maillog where someone is trying to guess a user name. They haven't found a hit yet but I am wondering whether it is a real threat and it's just some annoying hacker. And secondly, is there a way I can set a rule in iptables to deny the ip after a certain number of tries and then discard the rule afer say 20 minutes or so. I am not good at all with iptables so if anyone has any ideas please share the exact syntax.

I installed APF (Advanced Policy Firewall) to help manage my iptables as I don't have a lot of time to mess with them on my own. I used it along with BFD and Atomic Secured Linux in my earlier Plesk machine (I might add that webmin is indeed a better package).
I am having a strange problem with Subversion on virtualmin.
I can create and commit to a repo fine but the commits fails unless I commit the parent folder first.
For example:
I have a structure like...
To get a successful commit, I need to commit the folder first and then commit the files, otherwise I get various errors (permanatly moved, unable to find server)
I am using the base subversion and mod_dav_svn

If I set allow-transfers in BIND to a given set of ips then must I also open those addresses in iptables?
I use a secondary DNS server in which I need to allow transfers but I am getting tons of FORMERR errors in my logs and wondering if it is due to the firewall.
