I installed virtualmin on debian without problems using the install script. suexec seems to be configured fine (/home). everything works but php. when i point my browser to a php script in public_html it offers me to download it in stead of executing it.

Do i have to configure fastcgi? should I create a cgi-php5 wrapper somewhere. Or should this already be present? Should php work out of the box?

I've been struggling now for a couple of weeks and my head is spinning with this. I posted on the tail of another thread, but did not get sorted, so I have started a new thread.

I've checked everything and don't see any problem (DNS, Postfix). I thought it might be reverse Address issue, but I tried setting that up. (on server, not at Joker.com) /var/log/maillog does not show any error

we offer some Web tools to customers, and we are creating a subdomain for each one. We would need to create a quota for each subdomain for the disk and traffic. We have tried to find the way to do it without success. Is there any way to do it?

Ok, I was having the message error : User unknown in virtual alias table but all the mapping was correct until i added this:

$myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, 1.actual.tld, 2.actual.tld, etc.

Is there a way to dynamically fix this instead of getting rid of the symptom like

$myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, "$domainname" or something?

I currently have two servers, at two different data centers, each with different sites on them. I want to eventually get setup so that both have copies of the DNS zones and later on (if/when I decide to buy Pro) setup both to act a backup MX servers to each other.

I'm having trouble getting postfix to accept any email. If I am ssh'd into the machine I can telnet localhost 25 and get a ESMTP but I can't telnet to the box from outside of it.

The firewall reports port 25 is open Accept If protocol is TCP and destination port is 25 and state of connection is NEW.

Hey, I know that there is an option to hide dot files in the file manager module configuration, but even though it is marked to hide dot files my users can still see these files. I do not know whether this is a bug or maybe I am wrong somewhere. Can anyone help?

I'm using Virtualmin 3.68 Pro to manage several sites (example.com, etc). Two of those sites have a whole bunch of sub-servers accessible by sub-domains (sub.example.com).

The server is running BIND as it's main nameserver. Since you must have 2, I bought secondary nameserver services from DynDNS.com http://www.dyndns.com/services/dns/secdns/.

I set up a box based on Fedora, but my experience with webmin and CentOS convinces me that it'd be nice if I could migrate the whole shebang over to a CentOS box.

Just thought I'd ask... is there ANY possible way to save and later restore every single website, user, setting, path, and uploaded file of the various virtual domains after I change the os to CentOS?

Oh, I know this isn't really gonna happen, but, ehh... the rest of the stuff is such a miracle I thought... well, heck, I might as well ask.

Can anyone please tell me wher can I change ".usermin" and "logs" folder location when virtual server is created? I wont to put .usermin and logs folder inside ~/$DOMAIN/ , so the structure will look something like this:

/home/test/test.example.com/.usermin /home/test/test.example.com/logs

I am looking for two days this options inside webmin, but cannt find them. Pleas Help.
