Global Server Side Includes?
What is the best way to enable Server Side Includes for all sites on a server? I'm not seeing anything in the "Edit Server Template" section...
Thanks.
Got a problem not covered by the docs? Don't know where to look in the docs or in the forums? All of the other forums over your head? If you're new to Virtualmin, this is the place for you.

Hi,
Silly newbie problem, I think: I've installed virtualmin GPL on an Ubuntu Hardy development server with an existing Zope/Plone setup using VHosts and mod_proxy/mod_rewrite (& mod_macro, FWIW). I can still get at my sites directly (e.g. via Zope's HTTP server, not via Apache), but would like to fix this and continue configuring these proxied sites by hand.
The configuration is still in place in sites-available, and the link in sites-enabled. My first virtualmin-managed hosts show up there, but are obviously very different from the proxied sites.
i have been trying to install Virtuamin GPL on my Virtual Private Server..using the install.sh
but the installer gives me errors
On my CentOS machine, under "Virtualmin->Email Messages->Spam and Virus Scanning" there is a button to toggle the on/off state of ClamAV. This button is missing on my Fedora Box.
On the Fedora box, I cannot select "Server scanner (clamdscan)" as the Virus scanning program, which fails with the warning message "The server virus scanner cannot be selected unless the clamd virus scanning server is running"
However, "Re-Check Config" reports "ClamAV is installed and assumed to be running."
I am new to Virtualmin/Webmin as it came with my previous VPS sytem.
Have now out grown it in 3 months and had to upgrade to a new Dedicated Server.
Have sort of got it working, which as you can imagine is rather frustrating.
Some of the problems I am having.
The main domain shows up but displays one of the virtual domains content.
I have got my own name servers working on ns1.mydomain and ns2.mydomain, but it only seems to work for certian domains.
Often it seems to be taking a long time for my virtualmin to load, and sometimes I have to refresh it several times before it comes up.
The statusbar on my browser (IE7) usually says "waiting for (myip):10000/Sec-updates/index.cgi?mode=new"
I have changed my virtualmin port to a different one, and 10000 is firewalled. Would that be the problem? Should virtualmin have reset the port for that url when I changed the virtualmin port?
Hello,
I am using:
OS: Debian 5.0 Lenny Virualmin: 3.68 gpl Usermin: 1.400
When I successfully login to Usermin (port :20000) and then Usermin -> Mail -> Read Mail I got an error "An error occurred listing mail in this folder : Failed to connect to localhost:143 : Connection refused" and it's the same for every other account (root, admin domains, user domains).
When I'm using email with programs like Windows Mail (Vista), everything works fine (incoming/outcoming).
I'm getting e-mail messages "Security updates" saying:
An update to logrotate 3.7.5-3.fc7 is needed : New version released However, this update could not be installed! Try the update manually using the Security Updates module. However, when I check my system with rpm, I see: [code:1]# rpm -q logrotate logrotate-3.7.5-3.1.fc7
In the "Hostname and DNS Client" screen, In the section marked "DNS servers", I'm trying to add "127.0.0.1" as the third server. I keep hitting save, but after I "apply configuration" it disappears.
What's up with that?
Hi,
One of my machines does not appear to have quotas enabled.
How would I enable quotas in the manner typical of Virtualmin's default configuration.
Thanks, Tony
