Help! (Home for newbies)

Hi guys, when logged into webmin/virtualmin as the webmin system administrator (ie has root level access),

i selected a virtual server and then installed phpmyadmin.

it gave me a user and password for the virtual server to access phpmyadmin.

when i log into phpmyadmin as the virtual server user provided during the install of phpmyadmin, i can see all databases and have all database privileges for all virtual servers on the system!!

why is this?

I have an application which delivers different content based on the domain.

"parent.com" hosts the application and I set up an alias "child.com" in virtualmin. Everything works great, they act as two separate websites even though it is just one single php application in parent.com's web folder. I also have SSL with both domains on the certificate, so everything is great.

ISSUE 1) Then I add "third.com" as a new alias to parent. When I try to access "third.com" in the browser it instantly redirects to "parent.com" and displays "parent.com" in the address bar.

I have a virtual server domain1.com that is empty, with no feature enabled. It has many sub-servers hosted under it, domain2.com , domain3.com , etc...

When I type in the adress domain1.com in my browser, it redirects to subserver domain2.com. How can I prevent this behavior and just display a "forbidden" page?

I've tried putting a .htaccess file with "Deny from all" in my ~/public_html folder but it's not working.

I use Virtualmin to set up websites. But after a few days using it, the menu items on the left disappeared. Only "Dashboard" menu is visible. See print screen: https://pasteboard.co/I1XT8Rj.png

No errors show up, nor in the console.

Having wasted a lot of time on my last install most likely because of some faulty DNS setup I hope to do it right this time. However, I am totally lost when it comes to the Virtualmin settings.

During the setup Virtualmin asks "For DNS zones created by Virtualmin to be resolvable, the primary nameserver record for each zone must be set to something that can itself be resolved by other systems on the Internet. Primary nameserver:".

I'm trying to activate the mysql feature for a virtual server and get this message

A MySQL login named xxx is already owned by virtual server yyy.com

When I go to yyy.com -> Edit users, I don't see this user xxx When I go to Webmin -> Servers -> Mysql -> Users permissions, I don't see this user neither

What am I missing? Can I choose the mysql login myself?

The virtual servers used to all come from cpanel backups, that I have now merged, and my current structure is one parent virtual servers with many sub-servers.

I manage to use Virtualmin only in my localnet, so I will not able to use https since all domains name will not be resolvable. When I create a virtual server and try to access it with http://domain.test.loc, my requests is automatically redirected to https://domain.test.loc and got "SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG" in Firefox and "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR" in Chrome.

I've configured virtualmin to be my email server but not my DNS server. mxtoolbox.com tells me everything is fine. I can receive email but cannot send. What could I be doing wrong?

A new install with CentOS 7.

In Virtualmin > Email Settings > Spam and Virus Scanning - when changing the 'Virus Scanning Program' to Local Server Scanner I get the following error:

 The selected virus scanning command does not work :  

 ERROR: Could not connect to clamd on LocalSocket /var/run/clamd.scan/clamd.sock: No such file or directory

The server has been up and running for about a week and I have had this issue from day one.
