Failed to download setup file with this error:

Fehlschlag beim Holen von http://download.webmin.com/download/repository/dists/sarge/Release Erwarteter Eintrag »contribdeb/binary-amd64/Packages« konnte in Release-Datei nicht gefunden werden (falscher Eintrag in sources.list oder missgebildete Datei). E: Einige Indexdateien konnten nicht heruntergeladen werden. Sie wurden ignoriert oder alte an ihrer Stelle benutzt.

Wich means: File not found on server. Could someone fix that?

I’m trying to figure out how to do the following scenario with Virtualmin on Centos with Apache as the server.

I have myserver.domain working and I also have subdomain.myserver.domain working as a server alias for myserver.domain. What I’d like to do is have subdomain.myserver.domain resolve to myserver.domain/subdomain-page when visitors use the subdomain url instead of it going to the sites main home page.

Any help pointing me in the right direction is appreciated.

If i am running virtual server backups as the "webmin" administrator, what is best location for virtualmin>Backup and Restore> backup virtual servers?

is it best to have them in a location where only "root" (or at least the webmin senior administrator group) has access?

or otherwise,

home/ opt/ var/ usr/

is there any reason why these backups should not go into /home/ (in a new directory call "virtual server backups").

Hi, I have couple of virtualmin running under digitalcloud and every time I try to install wordpress, no color nor any style sheets are loading... same domain and same wordpress installation works under plesk but somehow virtualmin doesnt run proper installation. see screen shot link please. http://prntscr.com/n17vmm

I will appreciate as new user for virtualmin I am stuck.

Hi, we have a user in Webmin -> Edit Users that is not the main user. We want to use it for SFTP and we are using User Private Groups. It is getting its umask set to 0022, not 002.

Im /etc/profiles we have

UID -gt 199 ] && [ "/usr/bin/id -gn" = "/usr/bin/id -un" ]; then umask 002 else umask 022 fi

And in the user

-sh-4.2$ /usr/bin/id -gn = tvppclientarea

-sh-4.2$ /usr/bin/id -un = admin@tvppclientarea.uk

Which is why it is 0022.

Hello in one of my virtual servers i'am tryign to change the owners' smail address from akis@varsa.gr to info@varsa.gr

So i clicked on edit viirtula server can i chnage the mailbox name suffix to info and the contact mail to info@varsa.gr and set a password.

No matter how many tried i make, i get login failed in thunderbird.

Please help me change successfully the owners mail address

So I've spent this week preparing a new server to transfer my current sites over to however like always when you think it's going well you always run into problems. I've spent all day looking around google for answers to fix the following with no luck...

When I active DKIM on my server it breaks the ability to send emails from Usermin, while I can still send emails from apple mail over SMTP and receive incoming emails on both usermin throws back the following error when I attempt to send emails:

I have a Virtualmin server with several virtualservers running on it. On one of those servers I created a new FTP user and tried logging in but what happens is that it gets connected and then immediately disconnected. In /var/logs/auth.log I found this

Hello. This is my first time I installed Virtualmin on an entry level VPS. After a couple of effort I managed to set the server (dns records , roundcube , Lets encrypt etc) and host two domains on two subservers. The issue I have is that my domains sometimes (not all the times) arent reachable. Browser message is "server not found". When I hit browser refresh 3-5 times all of sudden domains appear normally and they seem to work .

I am wondering what I am doing wrong. Is it a DNS records issue or a poor Server? or sth else?

How can I enable Apache handler mod_php (dso), my website works if I am using mod_php(dso) or php-fpm, but When I am using fpm I get this error

"No protocol handler was valid for the URL /index.php. If you are using a DSO version of mod_proxy, make sure the proxy submodules are included in the configuration using LoadModule."

I could not find any tutorial for this
