Help! (Home for newbies)

Hi all, On my fresh Installation of Virtualmin on VPS i am facing this Problem. After creating a Domain i moved my htlm Installation (Wordpress and Joomla) with ftp on /home/public_htlml

I could move the files successfully and both webites are runing -now. But there is persmission issue on the directory cuz i am not able to update or install any plugin on both CMS.

What i checked.

• CHOWN und CHGRP are sofar Ok (domain1:domain1 , domain2:domain2. ( also change with command-line with ssh login)

Hi all, I have recently install ubuntu 18.04 with Webmin/virtualmin on a VPS envoirment. After setting up the ubuntu i am getting this problem.... (and many others) By creating a Domain or changing the existing Domain i have no option for activate ssl-Website. In my previous Installation on Ubuntu 16.04 with Virtualmin there was never an issue. now i dont have I als tried to find out to check all other configuration within virtualmin. ( Administration options or Server Configuraion, Apache etc)

Where can i beginn to fix this problem.? Thanks for your kind help..

I've been hosting several sites for years on my Linode server. For the first time I wanted to create one with email service, so I just go to "create virtual server" and make sure "accept mail for domain" and other related features are checked. However after it is created, all my websites on the same server were getting "403 forbidden" error, it seems to me those websites are all pointing to a different server, because when I try to open URL like "mywebsite.com/a_file_I_know_exist.php", it will return error saying "file not found" instead of "403 forbidden".

Im on Centos 7.

1) I ran "clone-domain" for one of my domains via ssh. I was trying to clone parent domain(www.mydomain.com) to child domain (mishap.mydomain.com). After doing this i realized that i had actually created new parent domain named mishap.mydomain.com with file directory /home/mishap/ . I deleted this from virtualmin UI. I think it crashed during the delete command but i did not notice if there was any errors.

Hi, I'm trying to configure my server for the low memory recommendations in Virtualmin documentation, but in the apache2.conf, there is no existing block "" & , am I mean to add the modules into apache2.conf, anywhere? Thanks

I'd like to automate enabling Let's encrypt SSL certificates for all my virtual servers, is there a CLI command for that? I have read the CLI docs but couldn't find that, maybe I missed it.

I'm finally taking the time to secure all my sites with https but it's more difficult than I thought, and all these security things are pretty new to me.

My setup:

• One main virtual server (empty, I use it for the hostname only) and many sub-servers (domain1.com, domain2.com...)
• Each sub-server runs behind Cloudflare

Ideally, I would like to be able to encrypt all my subservers at once, if it's possible. I'm just looking for the most simple way, without buying a certificate if possible.

Hi guys, another issue...

if i am attempting to login using a virtual server user on my administrative office ip address, and stuff it up enough times to get locked out...i cannot access webmin root because the office ip address is now banned as a result of the lower access level virtual server user getting locked out.

i do not have failban server running so i think its firewalld doing this.
