Webmin

Hi all, I need to create new master zones in my webmin dns server from command line. I also need the command line to propagate the zone to the slave. Is there a way to do this?

I have a custom script setup to execute when the given server goes down in Webmin under the 'system and server status' section.

However, it only attempts once to restart the server. Is there a way to have it continue to try restarting the service at a given interval? Why does it only do one attempt?

Hello, I installed 2 servers in my Virtualmin / webmib, I have added the secondary DNS does not work.

With a server I had to use external DNS, the other still does not work. Apparently it's working.

Ethernet (Virtual)

I need a new UPS for my system and was wondering if there is any add-in modules so I can control the power supply in the event of power failure. Like controlled shut down and start up, etc. Any suggestions?

The latest stable version of Postfix is 2.7, the version included with Webmin is 2.3.3 (from 2006?). Are there any plans to upgrade this?

when I do 'rndc status' or try to update a zone file through webmin I get the following error message

rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused

I have two virtpro servers. First one did it then the other even though all i did was restart bind. otherwise no error messages.

i've been searching on google for a couple of hours and everyone keeps saying its a permissions issue. which permission? I have checked everything in the bind directory against another copy of debian/bind and they are the same.

My domains 'name-servers' entry points to my webmin/virtualminpro box. I would like to assign a secondary name-server as most domain registers require two name-servers.

I set-up my ISP's name server as secondary. But it comes back with the following error message.

09:48:17 *** Warning: Failed to zone transfer domain.com from 123.123.123.123 (RCODE 5 Query Refused)

Which options in webmin/bind9 do I have to enable so webmin box will allow my isp's name server to become secondary name servers?

My DNS knowledge is limited :-(
